Marine Electrical Training Specialist

At the company that uniquely designs, builds, and refuels the U.S. Navy’s nuclear aircraft carriers—and is one of only two suppliers of its nuclear submarines—you’ll help the next generation of shipbuilders master critical electrical skills. You’ll join a multidisciplinary workforce of craftspeople, engineers, project managers, software developers, and technical experts operating at the forefront of shipbuilding and defense technology.

Your day-to-day

Morning might begin on the production deck delivering on-the-job coaching, followed by a mid-day skills lab, and an afternoon classroom session—each designed to reinforce safe, compliant, and efficient marine electrical work.

  • Deliver hands-on OJT, targeted skills labs, and structured classroom instruction for assembly and production teams.
  • Co-create, pilot, and roll out new training programs that keep pace with evolving requirements.
  • Introduce and model new manufacturing processes and work sequences to increase quality and throughput.
  • Maintain training rosters, exam results, and certification records with absolute accuracy.
  • Track trainee progress and provide actionable feedback to help learners advance.

  • Schedule: Full-time, 1st shift
  • Relocation: Relocation assistance available
  • Virtual/Telework: No – Not eligible for telework
  • Travel: 10–25%
  • Clearance: Not required to start

Minimum qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of additional education and/or relevant experience

What you bring

  • Marine electrical background, including:
    • Absence of Voltage (AOV)
    • Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
    • Arc Flash
  • Strong command of marine electrician safety procedures and best practices
  • Willingness to work different shifts as needed
