The marine engineer maintains the ship's maintenance and repair management system.
Schedules overhauls for power plant system of ship.
Maintains an inventory of spare parts and replenishing that inventory in a timely manner.
Keeps track of maintenance expenses for all repairs.
Provides estimates for future maintenance and engineering costs for the ship.
Prepares and maintains repair records and provide maintenance schedule based on these records.
Inspect and supervisor all repair work internally and externally.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
USCG License as a Second Assistant Engineer of Motor Vessel of at least 4000 HP
Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, random, and post-accident testing
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Ability to maneuver areas within the vessel including engine room spaces and crew areas
Good verbal and written communication with others continuously
Process calculations continuously
Capable of successfully completing drug testing.
Flexible to work varied schedules including holidays and weekends
Victory Casino Cruises has a No Visible Tattoo Policy. For this position you must be cleared of all Visible Tattoos. Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and background screening.
You will be required to obtain a TWIC and MMC. Acceptable documents to obtain badging are Passport OR Government issued photo ID and certified copy of Birth Certificate. Supporting documents would be needed for a name change.
