    Job Description

Ready to Build the Systems That Keep Ships, Rigs, and Plants Running?

If assembling complex electrical gear and shaping metal enclosures sounds like your kind of day, this role is for you. You’ll wire, fabricate, and prove out power and control equipment for marine, oil & gas, and industrial environments—switchboards, MCCs, drives, automation panels, and operator consoles—start to finish.

    What You’ll Tackle First

    • Turn engineering drawings, schematics, and layouts into high-quality, finished builds
    • Route, terminate, label, and dress power/control wiring to industry and marine standards
    • Stand up cabinets, modify enclosures, and mount components with mechanical accuracy
    • Drill, tap, cut, and fit panels/enclosures and install hardware with shop precision
    • Bend, fit, and install bus bar and other conductive or structural parts
    • Use hand and power tools—and light fab equipment—safely and effectively
    • Verify your work with point-to-point checks, continuity, and functional tests
    • Flag build issues and partner with engineering/operations to close them out
    • Record builds accurately and contribute to complete as-built documentation
    • Continuously improve build methods and shop practices
    • Keep safety, quality, and housekeeping front and center
    • Support installation, testing, or commissioning when needed

    What You’ll Build

    • Low- and medium-voltage switchboards and power distribution equipment
    • Motor control centers (MCCs) and variable-speed drive cabinets
    • Control panels and automation assemblies
    • Operator consoles and electrical enclosures
    • Future electrical products as designs and customer needs evolve

    What You Bring

    • Comfort working with power and control wiring
    • Mechanical skills: drilling, tapping, enclosure modifications
    • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and light fabrication equipment
    • Hands-on experience with bus bar bending/installation
    • Adaptability in a light-manufacturing setting
    • Strong print-reading and troubleshooting confidence
    • Good judgment and a team-first mindset

    Your Path to the Role

No single background required—bring a mix of electrical trade work, panel or equipment building, apprenticeship or trade school training, military experience, or equivalent hands-on exposure.

Bonus points if you’ve used press brakes, welded, or handled comparable fabrication processes.

    Where You’ll Work

    • Shop-centered electrical and mechanical assembly
    • Occasional travel to shipyards or customer sites for support
    • Active, physical work with large enclosures and in tight spaces

    CITIZENSHIP REQUIREMENT

Must be a U.S. citizen due to Department of Defense contract requirements.
