Job Summary

Installs and repairs wiring and electrical fixtures.

General Accountabilities

Installs 12v wiring into new boats.
Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical components.
Splices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps.
Installs control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.
Connects power cables to equipment.
Tests continuity to ensure electrical compatibility and of components.
Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to detect need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
Repairs faulty equipment or systems.

Job Qualifications

Education: Experience with 12v wiring required
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience preferred
