Clayton Services is searching for a Marine Structural Engineer - EIT/PE to join a growing engineering organization in Houston. The Marine Structural Engineer - EIT/PE will perform structural analysis and design for marine and waterfront projects while supporting projects involving new construction, repairs, rehabilitation, and existing structural assessments.

Salary: $100,000 - $150,000, depending on experience

Marine Structural Engineer - EIT/PE Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing for marine and waterfront structures.
- Support the design of docks, piers, wharves, bulkheads, retaining structures, foundations, and related structural systems.
- Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, reports, and cost estimates.
- Design structural components using concrete, steel, timber, and other applicable materials.
- Assist with foundation and earth-retaining system analysis and design.
- Participate in inspections and condition assessments of existing waterfront and structural facilities.
- Develop repair and rehabilitation solutions for existing structures.
- Coordinate engineering designs with other engineers, designers, drafting personnel, and project disciplines.
- Review engineering calculations and drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to field conditions and contractor questions.
- Participate in field investigations and site visits as required.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to resolve design and construction challenges.
- Ensure engineering work meets applicable codes, specifications, and quality standards.
Marine Structural Engineer - EIT/PE Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of concrete, structural steel, timber, foundations, and retaining structures.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical reports.
- Familiarity with structural analysis and design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and technical documentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ability to balance office-based engineering work with occasional field assignments.
- Willingness to travel as project requirements dictate.
Marine Structural Engineer - EIT/PE Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required at minimum.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of structural engineering experience preferred.
- Marine, waterfront, port, heavy civil, or related structural engineering experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with structural inspections, rehabilitation, foundations, or waterfront structures is a plus.
