Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on various marine vessels.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues in engines, propulsion systems, and onboard equipment.
Perform troubleshooting and repairs on navigation and communication systems.
Be able to do Installation, maintenance and repair of general plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems
Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as needed.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and high-quality service.
Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations while working.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding their vessel's needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in marine technology is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Marine Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of marine systems, including engines, electrical systems, and navigation equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain any necessary certifications.
- Must have reliable car or truck with insurance and good driving record (MVR Needed).
