Market Access Manager

The Market Access Manager will be responsible for driving payer engagement, optimizing coverage and reimbursement, and supporting provider adoption for our FDA-approved colorectal cancer screening test, ColoSense. This role will lead strategies across Medicaid, managed Medicaid, commercial payers, and other evolving market access opportunities to ensure broad test adoption and patient access. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in market access strategy, payer contracting, reimbursement policy, and healthcare economics.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research and submit coverage policy submissions to state Medicaid FFS programs.
  • Track fee schedules across state Medicaid programs and maintain Smartsheet trackers.
  • Coordinate clinical presentations and prepare senior leaders for Medicaid Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Support strategies to identify and overturn Medicaid coverage denials.
  • Manage Geneoscopy's provider enrollment and credentialing process with priority state Medicaid programs and individual MCO plans.
  • Work directly with the credentialing and enrollment vendor to ensure applications are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
  • Conduct quality control on applications and respond to vendor and plan inquiries.
  • Track status of enrollments, re-enrollments, and revalidations; triage internally to gather information needed for submissions.
  • Coordinate with vendors on contract submissions across commercial, Medicare Advantage, and Managed Medicaid plans.
  • Manage contract lifecycle tracking, including status, key dates, and payer compliance requirements.
  • Maintain an organized repository of executed contracts across all payer types, ensuring documents are accessible, version-controlled, and audit-ready.
  • Support negotiations with timely follow-up and documentation.
  • Work with state Medicaid agencies to ensure ColoSense's inclusion in fee schedules at appropriate reimbursement rates.
  • Support efforts to ensure that coverage decisions translate into consistent and timely payment.
  • Partner with Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) to monitor payer behavior post-coverage, including claims performance and denial trends.
  • Identify reimbursement friction points and escalate trends to inform contracting and policy strategy.
  • Work closely with Government Affairs and Medical Affairs teams to align Medicaid strategy with overall commercial objectives.
  • Support contracting and compliance efforts related to reimbursement.
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • A bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, public policy, or a related field is required.
    • A master's degree is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess 3+ years of experience in market access, provider credentialing, and reimbursement strategy within the diagnostics, laboratory, or healthcare industries.
  • Expertise in Medicaid, managed Medicaid, commercial payer contracting, and reimbursement frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of payer policy development, fee schedules, and healthcare economics.
  • Proven ability to navigate state and federal reimbursement policies and advocate for favorable coverage decisions.
  • Possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in analyzing reimbursement data and developing strategic recommendations.
  • Exemplify the ability to multitask and thrive in an agile, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Possess proficient verbal and written communication skills, while willing to share and receive information and ideas from all levels of the organization to achieve the desired results.

SCHEDULE
This is a salaried position, requiring at least 40 hours per week. There may be projects that require activities beyond the standard hours.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary range: $120,000 - $160,000/annually determined based on the candidate's experience, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Bonus: discretionary annual bonus based on a percentage of the employee's base salary
