The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Market Data Analyst to join our UTP Plan Administration team. You will work on the team responsible for ensuring the real-time integrity, delivery, and quality of mission-critical UTP market data feeds. In this remote/hybrid operational role, you will help manage day-to-day market data customer accounts for the UTP Plan, from handling usage reporting and billing collections, coordinating closely on internal compliance, working with external global clients to resolve inquiries, to supporting critical data transitions to new plan administrators.
Key Responsibilities
Data Quality & Integrity: Assist in managing a wide range of complex data sets including usage, billing, and compliance information. Proactively identify and escalate data discrepancies or anomalies.
Account & Customer Operations: Provide responsive support for the day-to-day operations of global market data customer accounts. Deliver timely and accurate customer service regarding reporting, billing, contracts, data licensing, products, and related exchange policies.
Incident & Policy Management: Assist customers with compliance regarding market data policies, usage reporting requirements, and payment collections frameworks.
Data Administration & Transitions: Maintain accurate customer and usage reporting records, including quarterly updates to the Emergency Contact database. Provide customers with vital information and hands-on support related to transitioning data to the new administrator (e.g., CT Plan).
Analytics, Reporting & Process Optimization: Leverage database querying tools and visualization software to draft metric reports tracking ingestion health, uptime statistics, and systemic latency. Identify root causes of business process issues, document operational runbooks, and build automation updates to improve scale.
Education & Qualifications
Education: College graduate with a Bachelor's degree preferably in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
Experience: Three years of market data administration experience preferred.
Technical Skills:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (including lookup functions, pivot tables, and macros/mail merge).
Experience with HTML and artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, exceptional conflict management, and customer service skills. Proven capability to thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication. Positive, professional, reliable, responsive, and proactive approach to working with customers and colleagues.
Work Arrangement: Fully Remote but located in New York City
Pay Rate: 26/hr.
