Position: Market Development Team Coordinator

Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) is a statewide organization that strives to enable Illinois soybean producers to be the most knowledgeable and profitable soybean producers in the world.
The Market Development Team Coordinator will support and enhance the work done by the Market and Development department. The department manages contracts, special initiatives, coalitions, and relationships with a wide variety of supporters and stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties of the department.
- Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, monthly reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.
- Assist International Markets Manager with coordinating and hosting trade team visits at farms and offices representing ISA to global audiences while strengthening relationships with buyers and industry partners.
- Manages Market Development Team logistics and agendas.
- Manages Market Development Team educational resources and inventory
- Create and assist with presentations, talking points, and webinars to educate and engage soy value chain stakeholders and/or consumers on the value of U.S. soy.
- Assist with cross-team collaboration with ISA’s communications team to ensure consistent messaging and maximize market development impacts.
- Tracks market development team inquiries and external organization needs
- Maintain databases tracking engagement metrics including trade team visits, event participation, and partner activities
- Assist with project deliverables and timelines to ensure alignment with ISA strategic objectives

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in animal agriculture, agriculture business, international relations or business is preferred.
- Experience with animal ag issues, trade & exports, and consumer nutrition is highly desired.
Physical Requirements
- Normal office working conditions.
- Must be available to travel offsite for meetings/events when necessary.
- Must be available after hours and weekends to trouble shoot problems that may arise.
- Some physical demands – may need to lift between 35-50 lbs.
