The Market Director of Information Technology & Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for IT&S across the assigned market. This role serves as the primary connection between market/facility leadership and enterprise IT, ensuring technology strategies support clinical, operational, and business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong healthcare IT leadership, hospital IT operations, EHR, cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, project management, vendor management, and team leadership experience. This position will work closely with facility executives, clinical teams, enterprise IT, vendors, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and effective technology solutions across the market.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Alignment & Strategic Leadership
Serve as the primary liaison between market/facility leadership and enterprise IT.
Represent market technology needs in enterprise planning and governance.
Participate in enterprise governance councils and support data governance, cybersecurity, and technology standards.
Lead market IT strategic planning aligned with facility and enterprise objectives.
Ensure enterprise technology strategies are effectively implemented at the market level.
IT Operations & Service Delivery
Oversee day-to-day IT operations across assigned facilities.
Provide oversight of infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and IT support services.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of clinical and business systems.
Monitor IT service management, incident response, and change management processes.
Ensure compliance with enterprise policies and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Support HIPAA, HITECH, audits, inspections, and accreditation activities.
Project & Change Management
Lead and support enterprise IT initiatives across market facilities.
Support EHR upgrades, cybersecurity initiatives, digital transformation, and technology modernization projects.
Help reduce technical debt and improve technology infrastructure.
Champion change management and user adoption.
Coordinate training and implementation of new technologies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with facility executives, clinical teams, operational leaders, and enterprise IT.
Translate business and clinical requirements into effective technology solutions.
Collaborate with external technology vendors and service providers.
Drive cross-functional initiatives and resolve technology-related business issues.
Financial & Vendor Management
Partner with financial and facility leadership on technology budgets and cost containment.
Identify opportunities for technology-driven cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Manage vendor relationships in accordance with enterprise procurement and vendor-management guidelines.
Monitor vendor performance and service delivery.
Talent Management
Lead, mentor, and develop the market IT team.
Establish accountability and performance expectations.
Support employee development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
Promote continuous learning and professional growth.
Performance Improvement & Innovation
Monitor IT performance metrics and enterprise benchmarks.
Identify opportunities to improve IT service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Promote innovation and adoption of emerging technologies.
Use data and performance metrics to support informed technology decisions.
Drive continuous improvement across market IT operations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
7+ years of direct experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
Minimum 5 years of progressive IT management experience.
At least 3 years of healthcare IT experience.
Experience supporting multi-site or enterprise IT environments.
Demonstrated experience with hospital IT operations.
Experience with EHR systems and healthcare technology environments.
Experience with cybersecurity and healthcare regulatory compliance.
Experience leading or supporting IT projects and technology initiatives.
Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships.
Experience leading, mentoring, and developing IT staff.
Strong communication, stakeholder-management, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical, operational, facility, and enterprise IT teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Multi-site hospital IT leadership experience.
Experience supporting multiple hospitals or healthcare facilities.
Experience with enterprise EHR environments.
Experience with cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience with IT service management and change management.
Experience with vendor and managed-service-provider relationships.
Experience with IT financial management and cost optimization.

Work Environment & Travel
100% onsite position in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
Normal business hours are generally 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
Schedule may vary based on business necessity.
25–50% overnight travel by land and/or air may be required.
Work occurs in both office and hospital environments.
Hospital environments may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, contagious illnesses, toxic chemicals, and biohazardous materials, requiring appropriate safety precautions and PPE.
