Market Medical Director - AP/CP General Surgical Pathologist

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Anatomic & Clinical Pathology Market Medical Director to lead a well-established pathology practice serving a regional healthcare network in South Texas. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a board-certified pathologist with strong expertise in general surgical pathology, frozen sections, and clinical pathology who is looking to play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care across a growing healthcare market.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians, hospital leadership, and laboratory professionals while overseeing pathology services in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
  • Minimum of three years of hospital-based pathology experience preferred
  • Strong proficiency in:
    • General Surgical Pathology
    • Clinical pathology interpretations
    • Frozen section procedures
  • Subspecialty fellowship training is preferred but not required
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
  • Active Texas Medical License or eligibility to obtain one
