Job: MMOP-Market Operations Leader - Lawncare Recurring (Operations)

As a Market Operations Leader you will be responsible for overseeing and driving operational performance across a defined geographic market. This role provides strategic and hands‑on leadership to ensure landscaping operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with company standards and financial goals. The Market Operations Leader partners closely with branch leaders, account management, and corporate teams to support growth, consistency, and exceptional service delivery across the market.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight for all landscaping operations within the assigned market, including maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, and construction services
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction benchmarks are consistently met
- Lead, coach, and develop branch managers, operations managers, and other field leadership
- Partner with sales and account management teams to support client retention, renewals, and growth opportunities
- Monitor and manage market‑level financial performance, including labor, equipment utilization, and operating margins
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety programs, and regulatory requirements
- Standardize processes and implement best practices across branches to improve efficiency and scalability
- Conduct regular site visits and operational audits to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
- Support workforce planning, hiring, training, and succession planning across the market
- Serve as an escalation point for complex operational challenges and key client issues
- Performing other tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience in landscaping, construction, or field‑based service operations
- Proven leadership experience overseeing multi‑branch or multi‑site operations
- Strong financial and operational acumen with experience managing budgets and performance metrics
- Demonstrated ability to lead leaders and influence cross‑functional teams
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned market
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience working in a commercial landscaping organization with large, field‑based teams
- Familiarity with private‑equity‑backed or high‑growth service organizations
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance, enhancements, irrigation, and construction operations
- Experience driving operational transformation, standardization, or process improvement initiatives
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands‑on operational support
- Strong client‑relationship management skills with experience supporting large or complex accounts
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
