Primary Function:

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for developing, executing, and managing all marketing, communications, and employer branding strategies for Dashiell Corporation. This role bridges Human Resources, Sales, and company leadership to deliver consistent, compelling messaging that supports business development, workforce engagement, and corporate reputation. The position will be based in our Houston, TX office located at 12301 Kurland Drive, Suite 400, Houston, TX 77034 and will report to Dashiell’s Vice President, Human Resources.

Duties & Responsibilities

Employee may be called upon to perform any or all of the following functions:

Marketing & Sales Enablement

  • Develop and produce marketing collateral, proposals, presentations, qualification packages, capability statements, and project case studies to support the Sales team in client pursuits and business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to align campaigns with strategic targets across utility, renewable energy, industrial, and EPC market sectors.
  • Manage and maintain Dashiell’s brand identity across all external materials, ensuring consistency with Quanta Services parent brand standards.
  • Coordinate production of award submissions, conference materials, and trade show deliverables.
  • Conduct competitive market research and develop targeted content that differentiates Dashiell’s integrated EPC capabilities.

Digital Presence & Website Management

  • Own and manage dashiell.com — content strategy, ongoing updates, SEO optimization, and alignment with active service offerings and project highlights.
  • Manage Dashiell’s social media presence (LinkedIn primary; others as applicable), developing a consistent content calendar featuring project work, company culture, awards, and industry thought leadership.
  • Monitor digital analytics and report on web traffic, social engagement, and content performance; use data to continuously improve strategy.
  • Coordinate with Quanta Services corporate communications on shared digital initiatives, press releases, and parent company requirements.
  • Maintain a library of approved project photography, logos, templates, and digital brand assets.

Internal Communications

  • Design and execute Dashiell’s internal communications strategy, including company-wide announcements, newsletters, and leadership messaging.
  • Plan, coordinate, and support Town Hall meetings, All-Hands sessions, and company events — including agenda development, presentation design, facilitation support, and post-event communications.
  • Partner with HR to communicate employee programs, policy updates, benefits open enrollment, recognition initiatives, and culture-building activities.
  • Develop and maintain internal communication channels (intranet content, email distribution, digital signage) to ensure employees across all locations and field operations remain informed and connected.

Employer Branding & Talent Marketing

  • Partner with HR and Talent Acquisition to develop and execute employer branding strategies that position Dashiell as an employer of choice in the electrical infrastructure industry.
  • Create and manage recruitment marketing content including career page content, campus recruiting materials, and employee testimonials.
  • Support early career programs, internship recruitment, and university partnership marketing initiatives.

Operational & Administrative

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, creative agencies, photographers, and print/media suppliers.
  • Track and manage the marketing department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Perform special projects and complete other duties as assigned or requested.

  • Elevate Dashiell’s brand visibility and reputation in the electrical infrastructure marketplace, directly supporting revenue growth and client retention.
  • Enable the Sales team with compelling materials that differentiate Dashiell’s integrated EPC capabilities and drive new business wins.
  • Strengthen Dashiell’s ability to attract and retain top talent by building a recognizable, authentic employer brand in a competitive labor market.
  • Improve employee engagement and alignment by ensuring the entire workforce — from office to field — feels informed, valued, and connected to company direction.
  • Build the marketing infrastructure (templates, processes, brand standards) that scales with Dashiell’s growth across all locations and business units.
  • Serve as a strategic communications partner to senior leadership, translating business objectives into clear, compelling internal and external messaging.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field. 4 years of directly relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or a related function; experience in engineering, construction, energy, or industrial services strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing digital content platforms including website CMS (WordPress or equivalent) and social media management tools.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent; Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to tailor messaging for audiences ranging from field employees to C-suite executives and external clients.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics (Google Analytics or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience planning and executing Town Hall meetings, All-Hands sessions, or large-scale internal communications programs preferred.
  • Familiarity with employer branding strategies and talent marketing concepts preferred.
  • Driving is not required for this role; occasional travel to Dashiell offices and project sites may be required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods during computer-based work.
  • Ability to stand and walk intermittently throughout the workday.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasional travel to other offices or meeting locations.

Environmental Conditions

  • Primarily climate-controlled office environment.
  • Occasional exposure to field or industrial environments during site visits.
