Get to know the opportunity
We're looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist to own the day-to-day execution of ChemDAQ's marketing and communications efforts. This role is responsible for managing our social media presence, planning and coordinating conference and trade show participation, and creating marketing collateral and press materials that support our brand and sales efforts.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone with 3–5 years of marketing experience who is ready to independently own tactical marketing work. It reports into the sales function and offers a clear growth path toward more strategic marketing leadership as ChemDAQ continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Social Media and Company Website: Plan, create, and publish content across ChemDAQ's social media channels and website; monitor engagement and adjust approach based on performance.
Coordinate Conferences & Trade Shows: Plan and manage logistics for industry conferences and trade show participation, including booth coordination, materials, and scheduling.
Develop Marketing Collateral: Create brochures, sales materials, newsletters, educational courses & presentations, and other marketing collateral that clearly communicate ChemDAQ's products and value to customers and partners.
Drive Public Relations Efforts: Draft, edit, and coordinate distribution of press releases and other external communications to support ChemDAQ’s brand visibility and media presence.
Manage Vendor Relationships: Coordinate with external designers, printers, and vendors to produce marketing materials and collateral.
Support Sales Enablement: Assist in creating sales presentations, campaign materials, and follow-up tools to support the sales team's prospecting and customer conversations.
Support Brand Consistency: Ensure marketing materials and communications reflect ChemDAQ's brand voice and standards across all channels.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Sales, Product, and leadership to align marketing content and campaigns with business priorities and customer needs.
Track and Report: Monitor and report on the performance of marketing activities, including social engagement, conference outcomes, and post-event lead follow-up, to inform future planning.
Qualifications & Skills
3–5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization.
Experience coordinating events, trade shows, or conference logistics.
Strong writing skills, with experience creating blog posts, brochures, press releases, or similar marketing/communications materials.
Experience in B2B, manufacturing, or technical/industrial marketing.
Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for collateral creation.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience marketing workplace safety, industrial instrumentation, gas detection, environmental monitoring, medical devices, or healthcare technologies.
Experience developing thought leadership initiatives, continuing education (CE) programs, webinars, or technical training content.
Familiarity with OSHA, AAMI, FDA, EPA, or other regulatory environments affecting ChemDAQ's target markets.
Experience working with distributors, strategic partners, and channel marketing programs.
