    Who we areVenture Lane is the startup hub for B2B tech founders in Boston. Venture Lane operates across three core pillars: Space, Studio, and Connex.Venture Lane Coworking: a curated community of 80+ early-stage B2B companies working out of our downtown office in Government CenterVenture Lane Studio: A three to nine month hands-on program for a select number of early-stage B2B tech companies, focused on accelerating go-to-market execution, building repeatable systems, and preparing for scale.Venture Lane Connex: Events, content and Slack community that connects our broader network of founders, operators, investors, mentors, and service providers.We're built and run by people who've started, scaled, and backed startups. That shapes everything, including how we hire.The roleBuilding an early-stage B2B company is hard enough without doing it in isolation. Venture Lane gives founders the community, programs, and access they need.The Marketing and Operations Manager is how all of that gets delivered.This is a dual-function role. On the marketing side, you own brand presence, member acquisition, and community engagement across channels. On the operations side, you manage the day-to-day of the space and the systems that support our members. You report directly to the General Manager and oversee one Marketing and Operations Intern.This is a full-time, in-person role, five days a week at our downtown Boston office. It's right for someone who can move between communicating with prospects, troubleshooting a member's account, and organizing event logistics in the same afternoon, and find all of it equally satisfying.What you'll ownMarketing and brandExecute Venture Lane's content and social media strategy across LinkedIn, email, and SlackWrite and produce the Venture Lane newsletter, event campaigns, and community communicationsSupport organic content creation that reflects our voice: direct, credible, and founder-focusedTrack and report on campaign performance, member engagement, and acquisition metricsEventsOwn end-to-end logistics for Venture Lane events, includingpitch nights, panel discussions, workshops, and networking socialsManage pre-event promotion, day-of execution, content capture, and post-event follow-upEnsure every event reflects Venture Lane's brand standards and delivers measurable value to members and attendeesOwn external venue inquiries end to end: field requests from outside organizations, assess fit, and manage logistics for hosted events.Operations and space managementManage day-to-day office operations: vendor contracts, supply procurement, badge permissioning, mail and package management, and kitchen upkeepOwn member onboarding and offboarding, ensuring a smooth and well-documented experience at both endsServe as a reliable, approachable point of contact for members, addressing issues and escalating when neededMembership salesOwn the front end of membership sales: qualify prospects, explain membership options, and determine fit before handing off to the GMSponsor relationsSupport the GM in developing sponsor onboarding materials, communication workflows, and operational documentationProject managementTake end-to-end ownership of key initiatives from kickoff through post-project assessmentManage timelines, surface dependencies early, and keep deliverables on track across workstreamsIntern supervisionSet priorities, manage output, and develop the Marketing and Operations InternWhat we're looking for1 to 2 years of experience in marketing, operations, community management, or a related roleExperience managing events including registration, vendor coordination, day-of logistics, and post event follow upStrong writer who can adapt voice across formats: social posts, event copy, member emails, Slack communication, and ops documentationComfortable owning a project from strategy to execution without a lot of hand-holdingExercises good judgment about when to handle something independently and when to loop in the GMProficient in tools like HubSpot, Canva, Slack, Airtable and Google WorkspaceExperience managing or mentoring early-career colleagues is a plusFamiliarity with B2B tech, venture capital, or the startup ecosystem is helpful but not requiredCompensation and benefits$55,000 base salary with an annual performance bonus tied to individual and company goalsComprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision) available15 days PTO, including the week between Christmas and New Year's401(k) with retirement optionsUnlimited coffee, tea, and espresso#J-18808-Ljbffr
