Central West End Community Improvement DistrictMarketing and Special Event InternThe Central West End Business Community Improvement District (CID) is seeking a special event and marketing intern to assist with neighborhood events and marketing efforts in the Central West End. The CID is funded through a 1% sales tax in the district and serves as a community strengthening tool. The mission of the CID is to enhance the district and the businesses it represents through a combination of physical improvements and promotion of the district as a destination location.Job ResponsibilitiesHelp execute day-to-day marketing initiatives to create awareness and drive traffic to the Central West EndAssisting with marketing efforts including the creation and scheduling of social media content, collection and creation of content for online marketing tools, writing blog posts and website managementAssist with the creation and implementation of engaging social media content, including but not limited to photos, graphics, gifs and videosAssisting in creating authentic and on-brand content and developing interactive content to boost engagement including but not limited to photos, graphics and videoAssisting with the planning and execution of neighborhood eventsAssisting with event marketing efforts, including outreach to local businesses and social networks to promote participation in eventsWork with neighborhood businesses to recruit participation in the event and coordinate logisticsPerform other related duties as assignedJob RequirementsPassion for social media and marketing with an interest in pursuing a future career in the field.Innovative individual, with an eye for content, who is looking to put their creativity to work.Pursuing or recently completed coursework in marketing, communications, design, or related field preferred.Microsoft Office experience required, Adobe experience a plus.Ability to capture basic photo/video.Creative mindset and ability to generate fresh ideas and adapt them to different platforms and audiences.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.Must be available 15-20 hours per week in the office.Compensation: $18- $20 per hourPlease submit resumes to Kate.haher@cwenorthcid.com#J-18808-Ljbffr
