MARKETING AND TRADE SHOW SPECIALIST

Job Description:

The person in this role should be a self-motivated individual with a passion for events, who is able to manage priorities and meet project deadlines. Responsible for coordinating national trade shows, assist with the preparation of promotional campaigns and marketing materials related to trade shows, and assisting sales management with the utilization of sales enablement tools.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, organize and manage all national trade shows (currently around 10 per year) from conception through execution
  • Manage design, layout, and cost estimates of exhibits and/or trade show displays
  • Coordinate and manage pre-show hotel bookings, staff schedules, and ordering of all trade show related services
  • Assist with the writing and design of marketing materials related to trade shows which includes presentations, brochures, articles, press releases, newsletters, event announcements, advertisements, sponsorships, and digital campaigns
  • Coordinate inventory of booth materials, products, literature, supplies and promotional items for the booth and events as well as shipping to and from the tradeshow
  • Additional duties as assigned

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of events coordination experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or communications
  • Experience with project management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator)
  • Proven communication (verbal and written) and administrative skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Use computer and online software to track logistics and communicate with team members
  • Ability to lift and move 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Ability to stand for the majority of a workday
  • Perform verbal communications to vendors and company personnel
  • Provide a consistent high level of service to colleagues
  • Meets all deadlines to improve efficiency and reduce cost
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of all documentation and logistics
  • Maintain complete and accurate communication to marketing team

Travel:

  • Ability to travel up to 25% in heavy show season
  • Trade shows may be held on evenings and weekends
