Marketing Assistant-Onsite Purpose: Performs administrative duties for the Marketing Department. Assists in the design, creation and implementation of marketing materials and all areas of the marketing and advertising functions. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: - Develops and designs draft text and layouts for a wide range of marketing and advertising materials. Forwards drafts to Marketing Manager for review and approval.
- Assists in the coordination of all monthly/seasonal promotional campaigns with respect to scheduling, communication to staff, development, production, and distribution.
- Communicates daily with the Marketing Manager to receive assignments and to keep him/her informed of the status of all work in process.
- Executes daily email communications with members using provided data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assists Marketing Manager with dissemination of advertising content to all outlets including media and third-party vendors.
- Visits branches regularly to update displays, collateral, and other marketing materials.
- Performs ongoing administration within internal systems and accessible third-party platforms.
- May assist Marketing Manager or FBFCU team members promoting the Credit Union brand at special events.
- Assists Marketing Manager with social media efforts. This includes coordination with third-party providers, creating ideas and drafts for posts and content and formulating ideas to increase member engagement.
- Maintains knowledge of all Credit Union products and services
- Assists Marketing Manager in reviewing all marketing and advertising content for accuracy.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inventories all supplies, forms, and marketing materials to ensure an adequate supply at all locations. Keeps the Marketing storage areas and Credit Union apparel organized in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Types and emails correspondence for marketing department as needed.
- Responsible for sending weekly member survey requests and creating reports of results for management.
- Receives and responds appropriately to marketing solicitations, sometimes acting as go-between for Marketing Manager.
- Maintains neat and efficient filing and storage systems for the marketing department.
- Must comply with the Federal Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money-Laundering and Customer Identification Policy (BSA).
- Performs other duties as assigned by Marketing Manager.
Minimum Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum of 2 years college level coursework with a concentration in Marketing is preferred.
- On an annual basis, complete all mandatory Bank Secrecy Act, OFAC, and Red Flag Identity Theft training.
Prior Experience: - 1-3 years Marketing experience preferred.
- Graphics experience preferred.
- Prior experience within the financial industry is helpful.

Other Special Skills and Abilities: - Demonstrated advanced abilities with all computer software programs, including WORD, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe, Photoshop, InDesign and other graphic design software.
- Strong technical ability and knowledge of web page design (html) and delivery.
- Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, and the ability to explain complex information or details.
- Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills are required
- Strong time management skills and the ability to oversee multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Must be creative, friendly, cheerful, and motivated.
- Adapts well to change and implement new products, services or programs.
- Understands and commits to the Credit Union’s mission, objectives and priorities.
Physical Demands: - The position frequently involves bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing and/or pulling. May also require heavy lifting at times (20 lbs. or more).
Working Conditions:
- Moderate adverse working conditions. Some fluctuations in temperature experienced in office settings.
- May be required to work outdoors for extended periods of time at Credit Union events.
- May need to work beyond normal working hours, either before or after hours, pending events and organizational needs.
