Marketing Associate – State Farm Agent Team Member

Part-Time (~20 hours/week) | $18–$20 per hour | Monument, CO

Position Overview

Do you love creating content — filming, editing, posting, and watching it perform? Sara Colangelo – State Farm Agent is looking for a creative, self-driven Marketing Associate to run social media and content marketing for a thriving, growth-focused State Farm agency.

You'll create short-form video, manage posting schedules, and help shape content strategy that builds the agency's presence in the community and drives new business. And because the agency owner is involved in other ventures and community initiatives, there will be opportunities to create content beyond insurance as the role grows — this is a position with real variety and real room to expand into full-time.

Responsibilities

  • Film, edit, and publish 15–25 short-form videos per week (Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok-style content)
  • Plan and schedule posts, write captions, and manage a content calendar
  • Monitor and respond to comments and engagement
  • Capture content at community events, sponsorships, and the owner's speaking engagements
  • Collaborate directly with the agency owner on content strategy — what to film, what's working, what to try next
  • Support marketing efforts that drive new business, including online reviews and local visibility

What We're Looking For

  • Confidence filming and editing short-form video (phone-based editing is fine — CapCut, Instagram/TikTok native tools, or similar)
  • Strong writing skills for captions and posts
  • Organized and self-directed — you can own a weekly content schedule without hand-holding
  • Comfortable on camera and behind it; not shy about asking people to be in content
  • Reliable, coachable, and excited to grow with a fast-moving team
  • Social media, content creation, or marketing experience is a plus — a strong personal content presence counts

Why This Role Is Different

  • Ownership: You're not the fifth person on a marketing team. You're the content person, working directly with the agency owner
  • Variety: Insurance education, community events, team culture, and more — you will never run out of material
  • Growth: This role starts part-time (~20 hrs/week) with the clear intent to grow into full-time — with benefits including a 4-day work week structure, PTO, and more — as the content operation expands
  • Culture: Growth-minded, direct, supportive, and fun. We set goals and we hit them — and we celebrate when we do

Compensation & Schedule

  • $18–$20 per hour, based on experience
  • Part-time, approximately 20 hours per week to start
  • Flexible scheduling, including event-based hours
