ECHO is seeking a dynamic Marketing Communications Coordinator to help elevate ECHO’s voice in the industry and among end users. In this role, you’ll lead the planning and execution of three annual events and serve as the day-to-day contact for our ambassador program, managing logistics, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring a seamless experience for partners. You will also support external communications efforts, including content development, social media engagement, and content production coordination.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in project management and execution, with a strong interest in communications and public relations. While the initial focus is on logistics, coordination, and execution, this position offers the opportunity to grow into broader communications and PR initiatives—gaining hands-on experience across content, media, and brand storytelling as you build expertise in the role. A passion for tools and/or the outdoor space is a plus.
The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000 based on experience and qualifications.
This is a hybrid position that will offer the flexibility of working from home and on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead logistics for three annual events:
- Ambassador Visit: Plan and execute ambassador events end-to-end, including overseeing onsite programming, coordinating vendors, and managing all logistics to ensure a seamless and memorable experience.
- Media Event: Support planning and execution of the annual media event as a core team member, including coordinating media outreach and invitations, managing day-of activities, and overseeing vendor logistics to deliver a polished experience.
- Trade Show Support: Plan and execute the ECHO “Social Media Patio” at the annual trade show, including partnering with vendors to design the booth space and driving attendance through strategic engagement efforts.
Lead the day-to-day management of ECHO’s ambassador program:
- Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for ECHO’s ambassador program, ensuring a seamless experience for all partners.
- Plan and execute ambassador events end-to-end: overseeing onsite programming, vendor coordination, and all logistics required for a smooth and memorable experience.
- Manage onboarding for new ambassadors and transition support for departing members.
- Manage program logistics, including product requests, shipments, travel coordination, and expense submissions for ambassador trips.
- Create polished presentations and updates for monthly ambassador group calls.
External Communications & Content Support:
- Monitor trade publications and industry newsletters to identify ECHO coverage and surface timely insights.
- Support social media management by assisting the social media lead with monitoring platform inboxes and responding promptly to messages and public comments.
- Oversee end-to-end content capture operations, including equipment prep, scheduling, location support, talent logistics, and on-site coordination, to ensure smooth, efficient social content production.
- Assist with writing engaging copy for ECHO’s OPE and IPE external newsletters to drive audience connection and awareness.
Job Experience/Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in marketing program’s operations/logistics and event/tradeshow management.
- Basic to intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, including Outlook Calendar.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events or on-site activations.
- Highly organized with exceptional project management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while hitting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive partnerships.
- Comfortable being on-site at content shoots and traveling for ambassador or media-related activities as needed.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
