Job Summary

Hazard Community and Technical College invites applications for the position of Marketing/Communications Specialist I. The Marketing/Communications Specialist I will be primarily responsible for developing and disseminating outreach materials for retention related programs and services.

NOTE: Position funded by Title III grant.

Job Duties:

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Develops promotion/outreach materials for retention related programs and services.
  • Works closely with faculty and student services to design, promote, and embed retention services materials and media.
  • Coordinates the creation of video and audio productions.
  • Designs desktop publishing materials for distribution.
  • Coordinates and ensures the accuracy of college-wide print jobs.
  • Using data analytics, make outreach and promotion decisions.
  • Publishes retention related media and materials internally and on social media.

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (related field) plus four years related experience, or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in desktop publishing, video and audio production, and graphic design is preferred.
