Job Summary:

The Marketing & Communications Specialist II supports organizational marketing and communications initiatives through content creation, storytelling, campaign execution, and project management. This role develops and distributes engaging multimedia content, including written, graphic, photographic, and video materials, that showcase our people, projects, customers, and culture across multiple platforms.

Essential Job Duties:

Content Creation & Storytelling

• Create compelling written, visual, and video content for websites, social media, email campaigns, newsletters, internal communications, and marketing initiatives.
• Develop content that showcases employees, customers, projects, services, and company culture.
• Write and edit articles, blogs, website content, social media posts, campaign copy, scripts, and promotional materials.
• Ensure content aligns with brand standards, messaging guidelines, and AP Style.

Multimedia Production

• Develop scripts, storyboards, and creative concepts for marketing and communications projects.
• Plan, capture, and edit photography and video content, including employee features, customer testimonials, project highlights, recruiting materials, and promotional campaigns.
• Manage multimedia content from production through review, approval, publication, and distribution across digital and internal channels.

Campaign & Project Management

• Manage marketing and communications projects from planning through execution, measurement, and follow-up.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Maintain project schedules, priorities, and communications using project management tools.
• Support integrated marketing and communications campaigns across multiple channels.

Digital Marketing & Website Management

• Manage and update website content through WordPress.
• Support SEO strategies and content optimization efforts.
• Assist with social media management, content scheduling, and engagement initiatives.
• Monitor and analyze digital performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

• Serve as a communications partner to internal departments and business units.
• Support company events, sponsorships, community engagement activities, and special projects.
• Contribute to marketing strategy, planning, and continuous process improvement efforts.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability Requirements:

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro.
• Working knowledge of WordPress, Sprout Social, Wrike, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong content creation, copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to capture and edit professional photography and video content.
• Knowledge of script writing, storyboarding, video production, and multimedia content development.
• Understanding of social media management, website content management, SEO, and digital marketing best practices.
• Ability to analyze marketing performance metrics and apply insights to improve results.
• Strong organizational, project management, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or other related field 
• Minimum 4 – 5 years of experience with related experience in marketing, communications, content creation, digital marketing, public relations, or a related field.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
