Were looking for a creative, relationship-driven Marketing & Community Engagement Manager to help tell our story, strengthen our community connections, and bring our brand to life across at our Dulles and Reston-Herndon bakery locations.

About the Role

  • This isnt a typical social media position.
  • Were looking for someone who loves connecting with people just as much as creating content.
  • Youll spend time in our bakeries capturing special moments, meeting local businesses, attending community events, brainstorming creative campaigns, and helping showcase the joy our team creates every day.
  • Youll partner directly with the owner to bring new ideas to life while also having the freedom to develop and execute your own creative marketing initiatives.

What Youll Do

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Create engaging Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn content
  • Capture photos and videos inside and around our bakeries
  • Produce Reels and Stories
  • Schedule and publish content
  • Monitor comments and messages
  • Track engagement and performance

Community Engagement

  • Develop partnerships with schools, nonprofits, hospitals, and local businesses
  • Coordinate fundraising events
  • Represent the bakeries at Chamber of Commerce events
  • Help plan grand openings, bakery birthdays, and community celebrations
  • Identify new marketing opportunities throughout the bakery territories

Marketing

  • Develop monthly marketing calendars
  • Create special campaigns
  • Coordinate seasonal promotions
  • Assist with corporate and catering marketing initiatives
  • Brainstorm new ways to increase guest engagement

Brand Storytelling

Help tell the stories behind our business by highlighting:

  • Our incredible team
  • Guest celebrations
  • Community partnerships
  • Bakery milestones
  • Seasonal products
  • Owner insights
  • Behind-the-scenes moments

Qualifications

Preferred experience in one or more of the following:

  • Community Relations
  • Social Media Management Experience with Canva, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and short-form video creation is preferred.

Schedule

  • Part-Time
  • Approximately 20-25 hours per week
  • Flexible schedule with occasional evenings or weekends for community events
