Marketing Consultant
Location: Remote proximity to a Surgical office preferred in Boston, MA; North Haven, CT; or Minneapolis, MN
Pay Rate: $55 $70/hr, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday Friday, approximately 9:00 AM 5:00 PM, with frequent collaboration with teams in Western Europe
Contract Duration: 6 months
Overview
The Marketing Consultant will support execution of the Administrative Value Workstream and help drive the Innovation Incubator Program, which partners closely with key hospitals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to generate evidence supporting value propositions tailored to healthcare administrators.
This position works within a highly cross-functional environment alongside Medical Affairs, HEPR, Marketing, Clinical, Legal, Commercial, and regional teams.
The role combines medical device marketing, product management, clinical strategy, KOL engagement, evidence development, and launch execution. The consultant will support go-to-market activities for a digital surgical platform while helping translate clinical and real-world evidence into compliant messaging, marketing claims, field tools, and customer-facing materials.
Key Responsibilities
Evidence & Claims Strategy
- Capture standardized metrics across participating hospital accounts and Innovation Incubator sites.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure Innovation Incubator sites are properly prepared and supported before, during, and after program implementation.
- Serve as a primary liaison between internal teams, participating hospitals, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with pilot sites and KOLs to gather feedback and refine engagement strategies.
- Translate clinical and real-world data into compliant, globally aligned marketing claims and value propositions.
- Lead development of claims matrices, value messaging, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review of marketing materials and claims.
- Partner with Clinical Affairs to identify evidence gaps and support development of additional evidence.
Launch & Field Marketing Execution
- Lead cross-functional launch planning with commercial, clinical, global, and regional teams.
- Support go-to-market execution and launch readiness for a digital surgical platform.
- Manage submission of marketing collateral through formal regulated review processes.
- Ensure marketing materials align with approved branding, clinical evidence, and messaging.
- Develop surgeon-facing positioning, clinical messaging, engagement materials, and marketing content.
- Create and support localized field training tools, procedural materials, case videos, and sales enablement resources.
- Support regional customer and KOL engagement activities.
- Guide podium strategy, publications, and integration of clinical data into broader marketing campaigns.
- Support post-market adoption initiatives and field execution.
Qualifications
- 5 8 years of experience in medical device marketing, product marketing, product management, or commercial execution.
- Medical device experience strongly preferred, particularly within surgical technologies or digital health.
- Experience working with hospitals, surgeons, clinicians, or KOLs.
- Experience with product launches, field marketing, sales enablement, or commercialization.
- Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare stakeholder dynamics.
- Experience translating clinical or real-world evidence into marketing messaging and commercial materials.
- Familiarity with regulated Medical, Legal, and Regulatory review processes.
- Strong ability to develop messaging, field tools, training materials, and customer-facing content.
- Ability to manage multiple timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables within a highly matrixed organization.
- Strong cross-functional communication and project management skills.
- Comfortable collaborating extensively with global teams, including colleagues located in Western Europe.
