NeighborWorks® Boise (NWB) is a local affordable housing nonprofit that helps Idahoans obtain, maintain, and retain housing. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to enhance our visibility, outreach, and volunteer engagement. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Marketing Coordinator supports NWB’s digital content creation, community events, volunteer coordination, and fundraising initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Community Engagement, this role helps drive our mission through creative communications and hands-on community involvement. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Digital Communications and Content Creation:

  • Create engaging content for NWB’s social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)
  • Capture and share stories, photos, and testimonials for digital storytelling
  • Design digital and print materials (flyers, banners, etc.)
  • Assist with website updates and monitor online engagement

Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordination:

  • Represent NWB at community events and support outreach efforts
  • Coordinate Paint The Town and Rake Up Boise event volunteers, timelines, and logistics
  • Recruit, train, and support volunteers across NWB programs and events
  • Assist the Resident Services team with resident-focused activities and volunteer needs

Fundraising Support:

  • Assist with sponsor outreach and logistics for major events
  • Support fundraising campaigns (e.g., Idaho Gives and Avenues for Hope)
  • Help with donor communications and recognition efforts

Administrative Support:

  • Maintain records of volunteer hours, event attendance, and other relevant data using spreadsheets and CRM tools
  • Organize and manage documentation such as waivers and media releases

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and strong relationship-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Canva; knowledge of Adobe tools is a plus
  • Experience with social media platforms and basic digital marketing
  • Comfortable using website tools like WordPress
  • Basic photography and graphic design abilities
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Positive, proactive and dependable team player with string interpersonal skills
  • Maintains professionalism, confidentiality, and a strong ethical work standard

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 1+ year experience in marketing, communications, or event coordination
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and volunteer management preferred

Compensation:$21 - $23 or DOE
