Job Accountability/Responsibilities:

 Essential Functions: 

  • Draft marketing content such as blogs and email newsletters to be distributed across designated channels
  • Interview internal thought-leaders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop content and ideas for content
  • Ensure marketing content aligns with current marketing plans, developed customer personas, and identified pain points
  • Develop content for social media and maintain TransmetriQ’s social media channels
  • Create content editorial calendar and manage to those deadlines
  • Analyze marketing data (campaign results, including traffic, leads, etc.) to influence future content development
  • Undertake individual tasks of the marketing plan as assigned

 

Key Measures: 

  • Successful development of content for email, website, blogs, social channels, ads, and other areas as assigned.
  • Increased traffic on TransmetriQ website.
  • Increased activity on social media platforms.
  • Creating analytics-driven content campaigns for social and other channels.

 

Knowledge, Skills, abilities/minimum requirements/competencies: 

  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our brand and connect with our customers through various types of content.
  • Knowledge of AP Style and basic design principles.
  • A team player mindset with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent skills in time management, organizing, writing, proofreading and editing.
  • A willingness to learn and work above and beyond.

  • The ability to think outside the box to find solutions to problems.

Education, experience, certification/training: 

  • Two to four years of prior B2B marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related discipline.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (specifically HubSpot or Content Hub) is a plus
  • Experience with marketing automation tools (specifically HubSpot) is a plus

Physical Requirements: 

  • Sedentary work: Assignment involves sitting at workstation (desk) most of the time (up to 8 hours) with only occasional walking and/or standing.
  • Keyboarding: Primarily using fingers for typing.
  • Talking: Expressing or communicating verbally through use of spoken words (accurately conveying detailed or important spoken instructions to others).
  • Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discriminations in sound.
  • Visual: Through close visual acuity, required to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing computer terminal; extensive reading (with or without correction).
  • Environment: Because the requirements of this position require frequent, often informal collaboration with other Railinc colleagues and external stakeholders, and to maximize the development of the skills and responsibilities essential for this position, Railinc expects that the work required of this role be performed predominantly in the office consistent with Railinc’s in-the-office work policies, as communicated by Human Resources and/or Senior Management. Any individual variations on in-the-office work policies will be reviewed by Human Resources on a case-by-case basis. As work is performed predominantly within an office setting, there is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions (i.e., extreme heat, cold, noise, etc.).
