General Purpose of Job:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for various marketing activities, events and projects including but not limited to working with Marketing Managers and Senior Director, coordinating, assigning and following up on all requests received by the Marketing Department. Maintains mail group listings for publications and email lists; researches, interviews and writes copy for various marketing materials and advertisements as needed. Works with vendors to obtain quotes for print jobs and promotional items. Coordinates hospital’s participation in various events and sponsorships that involve patients and families, employees and/or the community-at-large. Serves as a back-up for Media and Public Relations needs. Prepares line-item budget for all projects and then a final cost analysis. Develops and maintains relationships throughout the hospital to learn of story ideas for marketing purposes. Writes news releases and pitches stories to media and coordinates on-site media coverage as needed. Assists with maintaining archives of print and digital media. Takes and responds to media calls.
