Job Title: Marketing - Marketing Coordinator II (Internal Title: Marketing Associate)

Pay rate: $25.00 - $29.75/hr
Work schedule: Hybrid Structure | 3 days on-site per week (Tuesday through Thursday are the typical on-site days for the team). 5 days per week (40 hours). Overtime is not required or expected.
The Marketing Coordinator II (Marketing Associate) joins the North America Marketing department of Warner Bros. Discovery Consumer Products (WBDCP). WBDCP extends the Studio’s powerful portfolio of entertainment brands—such as Harry Potter, DC, Animation, and Discovery—into retail merchandising, toys, fashion, home décor, and promotional partnerships. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, this role assists in planning, executing, and auditing consumer and retail marketing campaigns that drive customer engagement, support sell-through initiatives across North American retail accounts, and align with core brand objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Timeline Management: Manage marketing timelines and project milestones while maintaining clear, collaborative communication with cross-functional internal business units and external partners.
Financial & Budgetary Support: Provide operational oversight for the Advertising and Publicity (AdPub) budget. Manage day-to-day spending requests, track purchase orders (POs), monitor rolling expenditures, and prepare documentation to meet quarterly financial forecast milestones.
Campaign Presentations & Pitches: Coordinate the preparation of internal and external presentation decks in partnership with the Marketing Director. Contribute fresh marketing concepts and support materials for new business pitches, licensee updates, and product category reviews.
Creative Operations & Marketing Approvals: Facilitate creative project workflows and submissions on behalf of the Sales, Retail Business Development (RBD), and Marketing teams. Review and approve North American retail and consumer marketing activities for assigned franchises, routing submissions to Global teams when required.
Brand Compliance Consulting: Deploy sound judgment when evaluating marketing assets; recommend actionable, alternative solutions if partner submissions fall short of strict franchise guidelines.
Marketing Analytics: Aggregate and evaluate post-promotional performance metrics to determine campaign effectiveness against historical marketing and AdPub spend. Track and document competitive marketing programs to establish industry insights and future strategic steps.
Event & Activation Support: Support the logistical production of special events, annual trade shows, and industry activations (such as the North America B2B Summit and Comic-Con) by collaborating closely with external agencies and venues.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
Rigid Attention to Detail: 1+ year of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment. Proven background reviewing marketing collateral, copywriting, editing, and enforcing corporate style guides.
Time Management & Prioritization: 1+ year of experience managing competing stakeholder priorities under tight constraints. Proven resourcefulness, follow-through, and initiative when navigating changing operational landscapes.
High-Level Interpersonal Communication: 1+ year of experience constantly interfacing with external corporate partners. Must possess a high level of professionalism, tact, and concise communication skills to avoid project bottlenecks or delays.
Technical Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
2+ years of professional experience operating within the licensing industry, a major retailer, an entertainment studio, or a marketing vendor environment.
A strong passion for pop culture, consumer marketing trends, and foundational knowledge of the licensing industry.
Direct familiarity with or a passion for core corporate franchises like Harry Potter and the DC Universe.
Basic understanding of corporate financial forecasts and budget management.
Education & Experience
Experience: Minimum 1+ year of dedicated project tracking or marketing coordination experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required.
Term: 3-Month Contract Assignment (Possibility for extension or conversion based on performance and budget allocations)
Interview Process:
1st Round: Technical screening with 2 Senior Managers (30 minutes)
2nd Round: Final interview with the VP / Hiring Manager (30 minutes)
