Full-Time

CA - Placer County, CA - Sacramento County

Bring your passion, creativity, and talent for page layout, marketing communications, and writing to a role where your work directly supports meaningful environmental projects across California and the Western U.S. As a Marketing Coordinator, you'll help shape compelling proposals, promote HELIX's brand, and contribute to winning projects that make a lasting community impact.

Why HELIX?

As a Marketing Coordinator, you'll join a dynamic Marketing & Communications team and work closely with our Marketing Manager to execute a variety of marketing initiatives that promote our services and help grow our business in Northern California across a range of sectors. This full-time role is based in Roseville or Folsom, with an initial in-office onboarding period followed by the option to work a fully in-office or hybrid schedule (minimum three days in-office) designed to support training, collaboration, and flexibility.

Day in the Life of a Marketing Coordinator

As a Marketing Coordinator, your day might begin reviewing an RFP and conducting research followed by attending a business development meeting. You'll draft proposal content as you collaborate closely with other marketing team members and technical staff across a range of disciplines that include environmental planners, biologists, archaeologists and cultural resources specialists, landscape architects, and habitat restoration specialists. You'll format documents, create and edit copy working from technical documents, and support active pursuits. Later, you may update CRM data, develop social media content, take project photos, or prepare for an industry event. Every day as a Marketing Coordinator is fast-paced, collaborative, and impactful.

What You'll Do as a Marketing Coordinator

  • Draft marketing content working from non-marketing materials such as contracts, reports, and technical data
  • Create and edit content for proposals, qualifications documents, presentations, and social media
  • Proofread content for spelling, grammar, brand consistency, and layout working with technical staff for accuracy and clarity of final copy
  • Develop, format, and proofread complex documents and page layouts in MS Word and Adobe
  • Maintain marketing data in Deltek/CRM systems
  • Assist with conferences, industry events, and outreach activities
  • Capture project photography for marketing use
  • Perform research and contribute to regional marketing initiatives and plans

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Understanding of marketing or business development principles and fundamentals gained through coursework, internships, volunteer work, or early professional experience (and demonstrated on your resume)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong editing and grammar skills, with knowledge of common writing styles
  • Working knowledge and experience producing complex documents in MS Word
  • Basic knowledge of other MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop)
  • Detail-oriented, collaborative, organized, and deadline-driven
  • Required application materials: Please provide a resume and cover letter written in your own words (no AI use) describing your background, key strengths, and interest in HELIX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in A/E/C or environmental consulting marketing
  • Proposal coordination experience
  • B2B marketing content development

Salary
