Description:
Under moderate supervision, coordinates marketing and media for a college or division program. Research market trends and recommends strategy with various UH campus entities to assist in the University''s branding and related campaigns.
Assists in the research, planning and implementation of marketing and media initiatives, including advertising, marketing and special events.
Conducts market research and benchmarking, recommending strategies, promotional material, vendors and communication methods that will best serve the needs and interests of the program.
Develops and distributes promotional materials. Oversees inventory of marketing materials and re-orders supplies as needed.
Coordinates UH events and activities to engage prospective students.
Appropriately manages time and budget to meet project goals by deadline.
May represent the college or division at professional conferences, trade shows, meetings, etc.
May travel in the U.S. as necessary, for marketing purposes.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Notes to Applicants:
This is a temporary, part-time (20-25 hours per week) Marketing Coordinator position that will work on-site in the University Marketing department located at UH's Technology Bridge.
Initial 12-month term, subject to annual evaluation based on performance and organizational needs, and consideration for renewal.
Under moderate supervision, duties include supporting the Brand Manager with brand review and compliance and supporting other marketing campaigns and initiatives as needed. Primary responsibilities will include: Reviewing and providing feedback on brand review submissions; tracking submission revisions and processing brand approvals; answering branding inquiries from internal and external clients; documenting and automating brand review policies and procedures; reviewing digital screen, UHGO and Access UH submissions; and analyzing trends and identifying areas for improvement or optimization. Basic computer skills and some work experience, which could include internships or part-time positions, are required. Some marketing and brand management knowledge or coursework, plus familiarity with project management software, is preferred.
Experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Education will be considered in lieu of experience.
MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
