Move United, an Affiliate of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee and a national leader in sports and recreation for individuals with disabilities, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator.

I. General Description (Position Overview)

 

The Marketing Coordinator will support Move United’s national marketing and branding initiatives to elevate the organization’s visibility, maintain a strong brand identity, and drive stakeholder engagement. Working under the guidance of department leadership, the coordinator will focus on the day-to-day execution of marketing tasks, content creation, website updates, and event-based social media coverage. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, this position plays an important role in executing Move United’s Vision 2028, specifically supporting awareness efforts to position the organization as the recognized leader in community-based adaptive sports.

 

III. Position Requirements

 

Work Experience:

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in marketing, digital media, communications, graphic design or a related capacity.

  • Proven experience directly designing digital/print marketing assets and creating social media content.

  • Experience coordinating projects or workflows across multi-functional or cross-functional teams.

  • Legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the U.S.

Education & Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint).

  • Proficiency across major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, Threads, and YouTube.

  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) and/or visual design software (Canva, CapCut).

  • Experience working within WordPress CMS; a basic understanding of HTML is a plus.

  • Experience with project management tools (ClickUp preferred), email marketing platforms, and Salesforce.

 

Travel:

  • Ability to travel within the United States, inclusive of travel to Move United signature events (estimated 10%).

 

II. Specific Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities include:

 

A. Marketing Execution & Brand Consistency

  • Ensure consistent, engaging messaging across print and digital marketing assets, including Move United’s, outreach material, website and social media platforms.

  • Ensure organizational brand guidelines and digital/print templates are being adhered to across all departments to maintain a uniform visual identity and messaging.

  • Conduct research on nonprofit, sports marketing, and branding trends to help integrate and adjust best practices.

 

B. Content Creation

  • Design and produce engaging marketing materials (digital, print, website, and social media assets) aligned with department strategy and event or program needs.

  • Create, shoot and edit quality photo and short form videos (reels/TikToks) optimized for various digital platforms (social and website).

  • Collaborate with team members and departments to gather assets and produce content that resonates with diverse audiences (digital and print).

 

C. Social Media Coordination

  • Coordinate and maintain year-round social media calendar based on department strategy and event/program content.

  • Monitor channels and engage with the online community by responding to comments and direct messages in real-time; actively amplify follower content to grow the audience.

  • Serve as the on-site social media lead during signature events, posting continuously and coordinating with contracted photographers/videographers to source, edit, and format real-time content.

 

D. Website Administration

  • Review, edit, and update website content and layouts in WordPress to ensure information is accurate, user-friendly, relevant, and visually appealing.

  • Assist in writing and updating digital content, including staff, athlete, and Warfighter bios, as well as other sport specific content, as needed.

  • Liaise with the contracted Webmaster to report bugs, track plugin updates, and facilitate advanced technical troubleshooting.

  • Support SEO strategies and monitor keyword performance metrics to help drive website traffic.

  • Assist with website pages audit and best practice training.

 

E. Workflow Coordination

  • Primary administrator for the internal marketing and communications work order system through ClickUp.

  • Review incoming internal work orders, assign tasks to the appropriate department team members, and track upcoming deadlines to keep projects on schedule.

 

F. Measurement & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Track, compile, and report digital analytics, delivering post-event and quarterly reports to evaluate the effectiveness of social media and website campaigns.

  • Build positive, collaborative relationships with Move United staff, athletes, member organizations, and volunteers to help amplify marketing initiatives.

  • Assist the team in identifying new marketing channels, tactics and outreach approaches to enhance brand reach and efficiencies.

 

IV. Reporting Relationship

The Marketing Coordinator reports to the Director of Marketing & Communications.
