Marketing CoordinatorUnder direction of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Coordinator supports the University of San Diego's Professional and Continuing Education division by executing and monitoring multi-channeled marketing initiatives for degree programs. Responsibilities include generating qualified leads, increasing enrollments, preparing research documents, coordinating projects, maintaining brand consistency, and tracking campaign performance. Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar are required, as is a proactive and initiative-driven mindset.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMarketing ImplementationDevelop and execute program-specific, multi-channeled digital marketing and communication plans including website maintenance, email marketing, social media, organic search, and PPC.Assist with all promotional activities across print, television, web, radio, social media, and direct mail, including media booking, trade shows, and referral development.Define keywords, audience profiles, and position programs for PPC, SEO, and online education directories.Coordinate with external vendors—designers, printers, marketing services, and mail processors—to produce collateral, HTML email, landing pages, and print materials.Implement email marketing initiatives, including copywriting, design, HTML testing, and landing page development.Help deliver a high-converting lead-to-student pipeline from the most cost-effective sources.Assist with processing marketing contracts and invoices.Student Retention & Program DevelopmentCoordinate ongoing student engagement efforts, manage the student success website, and develop email communications.Implement initiatives to increase program referrals.Support new degree launch activities such as competitive analysis, copywriting, email development, website build, and marketing materials.Conduct secondary research and build standard research templates.Marketing MonitoringTrack inquiries and coordinate with enrollment advisors to ensure a high-quality student experience; report campaign response rates.Calculate ROI on campaign expenditures.Track cost-per-lead (CPL) and cost-per-start (CPS) for each source and program.Prepare weekly program reports and semester reports.Analyze performance across marketing channels and monitor trends.Track and monitor expenses against budget.General Duties (As Needed)Research new marketing channels and emerging opportunities targeting specific audiences.Participate in outreach events such as career fairs.Assist in executing comprehensive marketing plans for each degree program.Anticipate and solve common problems.Coordinate marketing campaigns, monitor yield, and track performance against program-specific goals.Execute social media, email, paid search, and other digital marketing tactics.Special ConditionsMust be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet project deadlines.Must be able to work with all required technologies and tools.Pre-Employment RequirementsSuccessful completion of a pre-employment background check.Official education transcripts are required for degree verification.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree is required.At least one year of experience in digital marketing and lead generation and/or marketing-related project management.Basic knowledge of marketing strategy.Strong creative and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.Working knowledge of project management fundamentals.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.Excellent attention to detail.Excellent customer service skills.Excellent writing, spelling, and grammar skills.Performance Expectations – Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBasic knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas.Fundamental analytical skills for analysis and recommendation, demonstrating organization and problem solving.Strong skill in using business software systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, design programs, web analytics, search (paid and organic), and CRM software.
