It is a non-denominational, nonprofit 501(c)(3) Christian school with over 90 evangelical churches represented in the families enrolled. The school is accredited by ACSI and Cognia and is approved by the State of Washington, serving students in grades PreK–12.Working Days and HoursVCS operates on a 4-day student week, Monday–Thursday.This position is contracted on a school-year basis and follows a modified work schedule aligned with the needs of the role. The ideal candidate is creative, collaborative, highly organized, and passionate about Christian education.This position has potential to grow into a larger or full-time role as the needs of the department expand (see potential expanded opportunities section)Primary ResponsibilitiesDigital Marketing & AdvertisingOversee VCS digital marketing efforts alongside outside marketing consultants.Help manage advertising messaging, timelines, budgets, and campaign coordination for:Google AdsYouTube AdsFuture social media advertising campaignsCollaborate with the VCS team to ensure messaging remains clear, mission-aligned, and on-brand.Website Oversight & Content ManagementCollaborate with the school's website consultant and VCS team to maintain and improve website content.Help oversee:Staff profile updatesSchool calendar updatesAdmissions and marketing pagesGeneral website communication and usabilityEnsure the website continues serving as one of the school's primary marketing tools.Marketing Campaigns & Traditional AdvertisingAssist in overseeing traditional and community marketing initiatives including:Radio advertisingPrint advertisingEvent banners and signageCommunity sponsorshipsPotential billboard campaignsHelp manage timelines, creative direction, and vendor communication for these projects.Social Media & StorytellingOversee and grow Valley Christian School's social media presence.Create regular social media content that highlights student life, academics, athletics, events, faith, and community.Collaborate with staff and students to capture and share authentic stories from campus life.Explore opportunities for student involvement in photography, media, and social content creation.Internal Marketing & Family CommunicationWork alongside the VCS team to support communication and marketing efforts that strengthen family engagement and retention.Assist with projects, events, and communication initiatives that help current families feel informed, connected, and supported.Graphic Design & Brand StewardshipHelp create marketing graphics and visual materials using Canva and related tools.Support admissions, development, and school communication projects through visual content creation.Help ensure Valley Christian School maintains a clear, consistent, and professional brand identity across all platforms.Photography & Video ContentCapture and create photo and video content for school marketing efforts.Help produce:Event recap videosStudent and family testimoniesPromotional videosSocial media video contentAssist in expanding VCS storytelling through visual media.Potential Expanded ResponsibilitiesDepending on the qualifications, interests and experience of the selected candidate, additional responsibilities may be available that could increase hours and potentially expand the position toward full-time employment.
