The Marketing Director will lead the Marketing Team with a primary focus on creating customer demand across MicroAire's product line: PAL SYNERGY, ADIMATE/ADIPURE, ENDOTINE, SmartRelease ECTR, and ScottCare Aermos. This role provides operational leadership for all marketing activities at MicroAire and enhances strategic marketing capabilities within the company. Key responsibilities include: leading annual strategic marketing plan development, gathering marketing insights and translating them into new product pipeline, overseeing creation and delivery of high-impact marketing and clinical education materials, and managing team members with a focus on professional development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads three pillars of Marketing team: Product Management, Marketing Communications, and Clinical Education & Training
Oversees Voice of Customer and market research and translates findings into multi-year new product pipeline
Owns new product launch commercial execution, including design and deployment of robust launch toolkits based on understanding of customer, user, and competitive landscape
Oversees creation and maintenance of all global marketing communications, including digital properties (websites and social media), in-person events (trade shows and labs), and marketing collateral (brochures and demonstration materials)
Manages agency partner ecosystem to provide valuable customer/market insights and create high-impact marketing materials
Nurtures network of Key Opinion Leaders worldwide, including existing surgeon trainers and potential new relationships
Owns the Marketing and Clinical Education department budgets; Evaluates the appropriateness and effectiveness of all areas of spend
Leads annual process to update five-year strategic plan and define next year's marketing objectives
Builds strategic marketing capabilities within Marketing team to achieve business objectives, while fostering a culture that attracts and retains a highly engaged workforce
Education and Experience
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Experience Requirements: At least 12 years of relevant professional experience, including 6+ years in marketing roles and 3+ years managing teams/multiple direct reports; previous healthcare or medical device industry experience preferred

Work Environment, Physical Demands and Protective Equipment
Primary work environment in office with minimal physical demands. Requires ability to travel and stand for extended periods of time.
Follows protective equipment procedures for each department. Adheres to medical facility precautions during cadaver labs and surgical procedures. Hep B. vaccine series provided, documentation of vaccination or signed declination required.
Schedule, Travel Responsibility, Special Conditions or Requirements
Full-time role based in MicroAire office in Charlottesville, VA
Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (mandatory core business hours: 9:00am-4:00pm)
Periodic travel up to 20% to medical conferences/trade shows, training labs, and sales agent meetings required
