Marketing Director

Position Summary

A leading luxury consumer products organization is seeking an experienced Marketing Director to develop and execute strategic brand and product marketing initiatives that drive sales, strengthen market presence, and enhance brand awareness. This role requires a strategic marketer with strong leadership capabilities, exceptional storytelling skills, and a passion for delivering compelling customer experiences across multiple sales channels.

The ideal candidate combines strategic thinking with hands-on execution, excels in a fast-paced environment, and has experience leading integrated marketing efforts across product marketing, digital marketing, communications, events, public relations, and brand management.

Key Responsibilities

Brand & Product Marketing

• Serve as the steward of the brand, ensuring consistency across all marketing communications, campaigns, and customer touchpoints.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that support sales growth and strengthen brand positioning.
• Create compelling product stories and messaging tailored to various target audiences and sales channels.
• Lead product launch strategies and develop lifecycle marketing programs for new and existing product lines.
• Translate complex product features, benefits, and design elements into clear, engaging marketing content.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

• Develop annual marketing plans, promotional calendars, and budget strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Manage marketing initiatives across digital, print, public relations, events, partnerships, sales collateral, packaging, and point-of-sale materials.
• Analyze campaign performance and market trends to optimize marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
• Identify growth opportunities through customer insights, competitive analysis, and industry research.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner closely with product development, merchandising, engineering, sales, digital, and executive leadership teams to align marketing strategies with business goals.
• Support sales teams with training materials, product resources, and communication tools that improve customer engagement and sales effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Human Resources on internal communications and employer branding initiatives.

Public Relations & Events

• Lead public relations efforts, including media relations, editorial planning, and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry publications, influencers, and key stakeholders.
• Plan and execute major industry events, trade shows, and customer-facing experiences that increase brand visibility and generate business opportunities.

Budget & Vendor Management

• Manage the annual marketing budget and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
• Oversee agency partners, creative vendors, and external service providers.
• Direct print production and marketing material development from concept through delivery.

Qualifications

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience within consumer products, retail, lifestyle, home furnishings, apparel, or related industries.
• Minimum of 5 years developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, product marketing, and communications channels.
• Experience managing marketing budgets and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to inform business decisions.

Travel Requirements

• Approximately 15-20% domestic travel, including attendance at industry events, trade shows, and customer-facing marketing initiatives.
