This role reports to our Market President. 

Role Overview:     

Windows on Washington is seeking a Marketing Director to lead our marketing function as the resident expert. Like any marketing leadership role, this position is judged on results and requires building a defensible plan for leadership.  You will build the marketing strategy and the supporting business case yourself and bring that strategy to the Market President with the data and rigor needed to earn sign-off on budget and major channel decisions. You will be a key member of the Market President's leadership team.  This role is for someone who wants to own the marketing function – and drive real results tied to directly to revenue.   

Responsibilities:     

• Build the marketing strategy for Windows on Washington from the ground up — the plan, the channel mix, and the budget business case — and drive it forward in partnership with the Market President. 

• Serve as the resident expert on brand, digital channel strategy, paid media, and SEO — using performance metrics like ROAS and KPI data to build the case for spend decisions and channel shifts, with the Market President's sign-off on budget-impacting moves. 

• Lead, coach, and develop marketing team by setting clear priorities, providing ongoing feedback and mentorship, and creating an environment of accountability, continuous learning, and high performance. 

• Build organizational capability by developing marketing processes and documenting best practices to help scale and share with peers in other Mosaic businesses.  

• Partner with the Mosaic Service Partners Growth Team, including the VP, Marketing, to ensure that WoW is instituting best practices.   

• Drive the vendor and agency strategy —define performance benchmarks, and ongoing decisions about capital allocation.  

• Own brand management end-to-end: brand image, refresh initiatives, physical brand elements, voice, and messaging. 

• Partner closely with Sales, Operations, and the Contact Center to align demand generation, lead conversion, installation capacity, and customer experience, ensuring marketing investments drive profitable growth. 

• Champion customer experience by partnering across the organization to strengthen online reputation, review generation, referral programs, and Voice of Customer insights that reinforce the WoW brand. 

• Collaborate with Growth Initiatives & Transformation lead to build and lead the go-to-market strategy for expansion into new geographies including localized marketing activation plans that adapt to each market's unique customer, competitive, and business dynamics  

• Develop and own the partnerships strategy, starting hyperlocal and scaling the model as the company grows. 

• Serve as a key member of the Market President's leadership team, bringing marketing expertise and a point of view to brand-level decisions. 

Role Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Marketing Management, or related field. 

• 8+ years of marketing experience, with demonstrated depth across brand, performance marketing, and communications, and a track record of building marketing strategy from the ground up and gaining approval from senior leadership — not just executing a plan handed to you. Residential service, real estate, retail, or hospitality industry preferred.  

• Experience building trust and influencing cross-functional stakeholders while leading teams through change and continuous improvement in a lean, fast-moving environment.  

• Skilled at building and defending strategic and budget recommendations with data — the judgment to prioritize under ambiguity and the rigor to earn sign-off. 

• Track record of driving lead generation and measuring lead quality at scale. 

• Experience owning paid media, SEO, website performance, and third-party agency relationships end-to-end. 

• Leverage marketing technology, CRM, analytics, and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making, streamline marketing operations, and optimize campaign performance. 

• Strong analytical sophistication: comfortable with numbers, ROAS, and KPI interpretation, translating data into strategy into actionable business recommendations and informed investment decisions. 

• A growth mindset and strong judgment on strategy and financial returns. 

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build a compelling case and hold your own as a key voice on the leadership team. 

Logistics: 

• Reports to the Market President. 

• On site in Sterling, VA, three days a week, but five days per week for the first six weeks for onboarding. 

• Base salary range of $130,000 - $140,000 with competitive annual performance incentive.
