Ready to turn data into smarter marketing decisions? As our Marketing Effectiveness & Analytics Manager, you'll take the lead on a new media mix modeling platform and help us understand which campaigns are driving results. It's an opportunity to build something new and see your insights shape real business decisions.
Why this role matters
Your work will help Maverik understand which marketing investments drive results and where we can make a greater impact. What you learn from each campaign will help shape smarter decisions for the next one.
Location/Schedule
This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters and follows a hybrid schedule with four days in-office and one remote day each week.
What You'll do in this Role
- Serve as the primary owner and internal analyst for Maverik''s Media Mix Modeling (MMM) platform, managing ongoing analysis, model outputs, scenario planning, optimization, and recommendations.
- Translate complex marketing and business data into actionable investment recommendations, identifying where Maverik should increase, decrease, or reallocate marketing spend to improve incremental business results.
- Analyze marketing effectiveness across channels, campaigns, markets, audiences, products, and time periods to identify over-investment, under-investment, diminishing returns, and growth opportunities.
- Connect marketing investment to key business outcomes, including transactions, inside sales, fuel gallons, gross profit, Adventure Club and Nitro growth, foodservice performance, customer acquisition, and retention.
- Develop scenario planning and forecasting analyses in partnership with the ad agency to demonstrate the expected business impact of changes to marketing budgets, channel mix, campaign timing, market allocation, and investment strategy.
- Partner with Finance to incorporate MMM insights into annual and quarterly marketing planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Design and evaluate A/B tests, market tests, holdouts, and other experiments across marketing, loyalty, promotions, media, and advertising to validate incrementality and continuously improve marketing measurement.
- Analyze customer, transaction, loyalty, behavioral, and external business data-including seasonality, pricing, promotions, weather, store growth, competitive activity, and economic conditions-to identify trends, customer segments, and factors that influence marketing performance and isolate incremental impact.
- Develop clear executive-level reporting and recommendations that communicate what happened, why it happened, what Maverik should do differently, and the expected financial or business impact of recommended actions.
Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.
