Job Overview: The HR Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing communications and content strategies to inform, educate, and engage Tribal Operations team members on HR programs, policies, benefits, processes, and initiatives of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC). This role serves as the primary communications and content lead for the HR Department, ensuring team members receive clear, consistent, timely, and effective messaging across multiple channels.
The HR Communications Specialist will work directly with the Marketing and Communications team and the broader HR Department to highlight important programs and offerings through daily, weekly, and monthly communications, including writing email content and designing creative posts for the SMSC's internal communications app-beacon-and team member intranet. This role is also responsible for assisting with the creation of new hire orientation materials and will collaborate with the Talent Management team and HR Business Partners on successful execution.
