Job Overview
 
Our client’s Marketing Insights team is seeking an experienced Marketing Insights Researcher to uncover deep consumer understanding and translate research into actionable business strategies. In this role, you will partner closely with Marketing, Product, Creative, Data Science, and User Experience Research teams to influence go-to-market strategies, retail experiences, and consumer adoption across Reality Labs hardware products, including emerging wearable technologies.
This is a highly strategic role for a researcher who thrives in ambiguity, excels at stakeholder management, and can drive business impact through insights-driven decision making.
 
The ideal candidate combines deep consumer insights research expertise, shopper and omnichannel retail experience, premium hardware or luxury product experience, and the ability to influence executive stakeholders through data-driven storytelling. They have experience understanding how consumers discover, evaluate, and purchase higher-price-point products and can translate research findings into impactful marketing and business strategies. Experience supporting technology, hardware, luxury beauty, fashion, eyewear, or consumer electronics brands is highly valued. Candidates should be comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and capable of driving business impact through research, strategy, and AI-enabled innovation.
 
Job Responsibilities
  • Identify opportunities and develop learning agendas in collaboration with User Experience Research (UXR), Data Science, Creative, Marketing, and Product teams to support business goals.
  • Frame strategic decisions, drive alignment, and unblock progress to ensure marketing initiatives are positioned for success.
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative research programs that inform decision-making, strategic planning, marketing strategies, product development, retail experiences, and channel strategies.
  • Analyze consumer behavior, shopper journeys, retail purchase decisions, and omnichannel customer experiences.
  • Translate research findings into actionable insights and business recommendations that drive measurable outcomes.
  • Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Influence go-to-market strategies, campaign development, and retail optimization initiatives through insights-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Reality Labs to support product launches and retail growth opportunities.
  • Leverage AI technologies and emerging research tools to improve workflows, accelerate insight generation, and enhance research quality. 
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience conducting market research, consumer insights, shopper insights, or marketing strategy research.
  • Deep expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Experience supporting marketing campaigns, product launches, and strategic business initiatives from concept through execution.
  • Strong understanding of consumer decision-making, shopper behavior, and omnichannel retail ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior stakeholders and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize competing initiatives, and deliver high-impact insights in fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presentation skills.
  • Experience researching premium consumer products, hardware devices, luxury goods, fashion, beauty, eyewear, or consumer electronics.
  • Knowledge of consumer purchase behavior for high-consideration or high-price-point products.
  • Experience supporting retail strategy, channel strategy, merchandising, or shopper marketing initiatives.
  • Background working with leading technology companies, consumer brands, or innovation-focused organizations.
  • Experience conducting social listening and analyzing consumer conversations across digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with Meta, Google, Apple, Snap, or similar technology ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated use of AI-powered research tools, prompt engineering, or workflow automation solutions.
  • Experience implementing responsible AI practices, quality reviews, and research governance standards.
Must Have Qualifications
  • Qualitative is highly preferred, and quantitative methodologies in retail shopping, competitive shopping in retail.
  • Device and expensive goods experience, Shopper, Consumer Journey, Driving Purchase across retail channels by shaping strategy, driving alignment and delivering business outcomes.
  • Very familiar with AI, Meta AI exposure.
Nice to Have Qualifications
  • Social Listening – social conversation of how Google launches products etc.
  • Meta, Google, Apple, Snap, Lux Beauty, Fashion, CPG, Sunglasses/Glasses Tech experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements).
Educational Background
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Business, Market Research, Social Sciences, or a related field.
