Marketing Internship - Effingham

The Marketing Intern supports marketing and communications efforts through content creation, event support, and brand promotion while gaining hands-on experience working with The Equity and its affiliate brands.

Reports to

Marketing Manager

Salary

$16.50 - $19 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies and workplace safety procedures
• Support marketing projects and administrative activities
• Help in creation of engaging brand graphic assets for internal and external campaigns and initiatives
• Assist in planning, evaluating, and creating marketing content, which may include social media posts, newsletters, and other promotional materials for The Equity and its affiliate brands
• Maintain positive brand image and awareness
• Collaborate with other departments and brands under the direction of the Marketing Manager
• Travel to locations and assist in execution of content, events, and other initiatives
• Attend trade shows, career fairs, and community events

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Leadership Characteristics

• Must be pursuing a B.S. or B.A. degree at a college or university with a major in Agricultural Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage projects simultaneously
• Self-motivation personality as well as outgoing, interpersonal skills with employees, growers, and community members
• Demonstrate ability to interact effectively with management, employees, and growers
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Photography/video experience a plus
• Portfolio and references required

Work Environment

This job primarily operates in an office setting, but will also require on-location work. The nature of the business may require extended hours.

Travel

The employee may be required to travel to other facilities in The Equity trade area, conferences, educational opportunities, and other job-related activities.
