Summary:
The Marketing Intern is a part-time position that provides hands-on experience supporting the Utah Royals FC Marketing team in the planning, execution, and promotion of marketing campaigns, fan engagement initiatives, and special events. This role offers valuable exposure to professional sports marketing through collaboration with multiple departments while helping deliver exceptional experiences for fans both on matchdays and throughout the season. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, enthusiastic, and eager to learn in a fast-paced sports environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and special events.
- Support matchday and non-matchday fan engagement activations and experiential marketing initiatives.
- Assist with the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across email, social media, website, mobile app, and other digital platforms.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support successful marketing initiatives.
- Assist with event preparation, promotional material distribution, and onsite marketing activations.
- Contribute creative ideas to increase fan engagement, brand awareness, and overall marketing effectiveness.
- Maintain marketing assets and assist with general department organization and administrative tasks.
- Support data collection and campaign reporting as assigned.
- Represent the Club professionally while interacting with fans, partners, and community members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, Business, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and matchdays as required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous internship, volunteer, or work experience in sports, marketing, events, or entertainment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
- Passion for soccer and professional sports.
- Experience with graphic design, photography, video, or content creation is a plus.
