Heilbron Herbs is hiring a Part-Time Marketing Manager! About Us Heilbron Herbs makes tinctures, teas and skincare, carefully sourced from small US farms & made outside of Asheville, NC. Our office and production spaces are now separate, and this position would mainly report to the office space in Woodfin. As a very small but growing business, we would like to hire someone interested in being with us for the long term (more than a year - ideally many!) and growing into a lead role over time.About The Role We are seeking a Marketing Manager who will work closely with the Founder to connect with our audience/community, uphold and further implement our values, language, and spirit, and ultimately grow and strengthen our relationships with those who can benefit from what we do.Requirements Experienced and detailed copywriterExpert in email marketing strategy, content creation, and use of software (Mailchimp / Klaviyo)Highly proficient in social media management, content creation, and use of software and scheduling toolsLearned in SEO, research, and implementation, and current changes in this fieldCompetent with basic graphic design skills and experienced with Adobe toolsSkilled in using analytics (Google, Meta, Google Ads) to back up or modulate strategyEnthusiastic about visual storytelling and have an eye for creating day-to-day photo and video content, alongside the FounderExperienced managing paid advertising and have a keen understanding of relevant platforms, especially Google AdsHave experience surrounding herbal medicine, plant ID, and packaged food/supplement production (Preferred but not necessary)In the first 3 months you will: Learn and implement brand language/values/spiritDevelop, implement and track progress of marketing and sales strategiesSocial Media, Blogs, and Newsletter strategy and implementation, including concepting content and copy writingMaintain calendar to help keep multiple concurrent projects on trackCapture photo and video content and develop marketing initiatives for social media and newslettersSet up and sales at seasonal in-person events and marketsBy 6 months you will: Work closely with the founder to design and accomplish monthly/quarterly marketing and sales goalsAssist with wholesale outreach and communicationsHelp distill ideas from routine meetings into actionable projects and tasksStrategize, implement, and monitor advertising campaignsRespond to customer communications via email and social media; communicate with founder if guidance is needed for a specific inquiryHave established a clear reporting cadence and collaborative rhythm with the founderBy the end of the 1st year you will: Lead management of marketing strategy and content creationContinue to collaborate with the Founder, assigning content to Founder as neededHave created a clear roadmap to meet quarterly and yearly sales goalsOther tasks and responsibilities as they ariseAbout You You are a great fit if you (are): Looking for part-time (and long-term) creative and technical work with a passionate, caring team and small, values-led businessComfortable and excited to move between many different roles, cultivating an assortment of skill setsFind joy in attending to details, while having the capacity to discern when efficiency takes precedentEqually happy to work independently, take the helm of a project, have the initiative to identify needs within the workplace AND thrive in partnership with a teamPrioritize clear, direct, and compassionate communicationAn enthusiastic collaborator and can offer honest feedback thoughtfully and connectively, while openly receiving feedback and direction from othersAlign your words and actions, and clearly communicate when things aren't going as plannedEmbrace mistakes and utilize them as learning opportunitiesHighly organized and multi-tasking comes naturally to youFeel comfortable with managing a number of tasks and preparing routine reports for the founderLocal Western North Carolina candidate (strongly preferred)Physical Demands Visual and physical demands necessitated by work at a computerOccasionally being present behind a sales table in a chair or standing on one's feet for 4-8 hours at a time, at IRL eventsOccasional light and moderate liftingLogistics Classification Part-time hourly, non-exempt positionEstimated Weekly Hours Between 10-15 hours per week, with some required hours between 9:30-2:30, Monday - Friday. Flexible hours otherwise. Occasional weekend days for shows and event support.Hiring Period Candidates will be considered on a rolling basis until the end of September, 2025. For immediate hire.Compensation Pay is commensurate with experience.
