We hope you consider joining us!Job Overview The Marketing Manager serves as the on-property marketing representative for Hotel Van Zandt, responsible for executing marketing initiatives, coordinating events and activations, and supporting the day-to-day marketing needs of the hotel. Reporting to the Area Director of Marketing, this role is responsible for implementing marketing strategies, managing social media channels and content creation with the support of third-party agency partners, managing day-to-day marketing operations, supporting revenue-generating initiatives, and ensuring brand consistency across all guest-facing touchpoints.This is a position that requires excellent organization and communication skills, working cross-functionally with Operations, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Revenue Management so that daily tasks are completed in an efficient and timely manner to bring campaigns, activations, partnerships, and events to life.Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):Marketing Operations & AdministrationExecute annual and quarterly marketing plans developed in partnership with the Area Director of MarketingManage day-to-day marketing requests and priorities from hotel departmentsCoordinate project timelines and ensure timely completion of marketing initiativesMaintain marketing calendars, campaign schedules, promotional timelines, and activation plansAssist with budget tracking, invoice processing, vendor coordination, and marketing expense managementCoordinate with agency partners, designers, photographers, printers, and other external vendorsPrepare monthly reporting and marketing recaps including campaign performance, social media metrics, website analytics, and promotional resultsSocial Media Management & Content SupportCoordinate content collection across the hotel, including photography, video, guest experiences, activations, and food & beverage programmingServe as the primary liaison with social media and PR agency partnersCreate and organize content assets for social media, website, email, and promotional useAssist with influencer visits, media stays, and content creator partnerships including creating face sheets, managing welcome amenitiesMonitor social channels for brand consistency, guest engagement opportunities, and emerging trendsPrepare monthly social performance reports and content recapsDigital Marketing & Website MaintenanceMaintain and update Hotel Van Zandt's website, including offers, packages, event listings, landing pages, and content updatesSupport the execution of email marketing campaigns through content gathering, copywriting, asset management, and deployment coordinationEnsure all online listings, business profiles, and directory information remain accurate and currentMonitor website functionality and coordinate updates with corporate and agency partnersAssist in tracking campaign performance and identifying optimization opportunitiesEvents, Activations & Community EngagementServe as the primary on-property marketing contact for all events, activations, and experiential programmingCoordinate planning and execution of hotel events, partnerships, promotions, and community initiativesEnsure all event details are communicated internally through established SOPs and operational channelsAttend and support activations, media events, influencer visits, photoshoots, and community engagements as neededManage event listings and promotional calendars across third-party platforms including Visit Austin, Do512, and other partner channelsWork closely with Operations and Food & Beverage teams to ensure successful execution and guest experience deliveryIdentify opportunities to enhance visibility, drive local engagement, and support revenue objectives through experiential programmingBrand Management & Marketing CollateralMaintain brand standards across all guest-facing collateral and marketing materialsUpdate and coordinate production of hotel signage, menus, collateral, sales materials, event materials, and in-room communicationsSupport design and production of basic marketing materials, presentations, flyers, promotional assets, and internal communicationsEnsure all marketing touchpoints accurately reflect brand positioning and current offeringsSupport Sales, Catering, Revenue Management, and Food & Beverage teams with marketing materials and promotional needsGeneral ResponsibilitiesBrainstorm and develop unique, creative packages and experiential offerings that align with sales, revenue, and PR goalsWrite on-brand, grammatically correct copy for all packages and offerings as well as the website, email campaigns, social media, marketing collateral, etc.Work with Area Director of Marketing on strategic partnerships and fulfillment as it relates to packages, events, and activationsWork evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary to support events and activationsPerforms other duties as assigned or deemed necessary by managementQualifications EducationCollege degree in marketing communications (or related field); three years related experience and/or training.ExperiencePrevious marketing experience is a must.
