Primary Function: The Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting and executing BGCGC’s marketing strategy to strengthen brand awareness, drive audience engagement, support recruitment efforts, and promote organizational programs and events. This role oversees day-to-day marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels while ensuring consistency in brand messaging and visual identity.
The Marketing Manager will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to execute marketing campaigns, manage organizational communications, support event promotion, oversee paid advertising efforts, and maintain the organization's digital presence. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, capable of managing multiple projects while driving measurable results.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Brand Management & Organizational Communications
- Manage, maintain, and enforce organizational brand standards and visual identity guidelines.
- Serve as a resource for staff regarding branding, marketing best practices, and communications standards.
- Review and approve marketing materials to ensure brand consistency across departments and programs.
Digital Marketing & Campaign Management
- Develop and implement integrated marketing campaigns that support organizational goals, programs, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
- Manage paid advertising efforts across digital platforms, including Google Ads and social media advertising.
- Oversee and optimize the organization's Google Ad Grant program in partnership with external vendors.
- Monitor campaign performance and utilize analytics to improve marketing effectiveness and return on investment.
- Maintain knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and implement strategies to improve online visibility and website performance.
- Support website content management and updates to ensure accurate, engaging, and user-friendly digital experiences.
Recruitment Marketing
- Develop and execute marketing initiatives to support staff recruitment and talent acquisition efforts.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to promote employment opportunities through digital advertising, social media, email marketing, and other recruitment channels.
- Create content and campaigns that strengthen the organization's employer brand and attract qualified candidates.
Social Media Strategy & Content Development
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media strategy and content calendar.
- Monitor engagement metrics and recommend strategies to increase audience growth and interaction.
- Collaborate with staff to identify and share impactful stories, program highlights, and organizational achievements.
Event Marketing & Logistics
- Support planning and execution of organizational and fundraising events.
- Coordinate event logistics in partnership with Development and external vendors.
- Develop and implement event marketing plans to drive attendance, engagement, and awareness.
- Manage event-related communications and promotional campaigns.
Vendor & Project Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing vendors, consultants, designers, photographers, videographers, and advertising partners.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and vendor relationships to ensure successful execution of marketing initiatives.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Minimal physical effort required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, lift and walk. Maximum unassisted lift = 50 lbs. Average lift less than 25 lbs. Requires ability to use computer, various standard and specialized software and database systems, keyboard, calculator and typical office machines. Requires travel to other Clubs and community agencies for meetings and training events. Occasional after-hours related events.
Environmental Requirements:
Inside average office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment required. Ambient temperature between 68 and 76 degrees Fahrenheit.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field.
- 3–5 years of progressively responsible marketing experience.
- Experience managing digital marketing campaigns and paid advertising initiatives.
- Knowledge of SEO principles, website content management, and marketing analytics.
- Experience managing social media platforms and content calendars.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Qualifications Preferred:
- Experience managing or supporting Google Ad Grant campaigns.
- Experience working with external marketing agencies or vendors.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and email marketing platforms.
- Experience supporting recruitment marketing initiatives.
- Experience in nonprofit marketing, community engagement, or mission-driven organizations.
