Job Summary
The Department of Tourism & Cultural Affairs - Division of Tourism is seeking to fill their vacant Marketing Manager position in Reno, Carson City or Las Vegas. The Marketing Manager ensures Travel Nevada's marketing initiatives run smoothly and align with brand standards by managing campaigns from planning through delivery and coordinating internal teams, agencies, and vendors. The role exists to keep projects on schedule, maintain creative and content consistency, and provide essential operational support to the CMO through project management, agency coordination, creative oversight, and administrative support.
Essential Qualifications
3+ years in marketing coordination, project management, or agency/creative operations. Skilled in project and campaign management, vendor coordination, asset trafficking, budgeting, and creative proofing. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required Tourism/destination marketing and/or paid campaign experience preferred but not required.
Job Duties
The Marketing Manager oversees daily marketing project workflows, manages timelines in the project management platform, and ensures campaigns stay on track. They coordinate with agencies and vendors, support creative production, traffic and proof assets, and ensure all deliverables meet brand standards. The role also manages logistics such as contracts and invoices, supports budgeting and administrative needs for the CMO, and facilitates clear communication across internal teams. Additionally, they help maintain marketing inventory and assist with special projects and content needs as they arise.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of marketing project and campaign management, including planning, schedule and use of project management tools. Strong editing, media trafficking, and proofing skills. Proactive problem-solving and critical thinking. Effective communication and collaborative teamwork. Ability to communicate, coordinate and collaborate with outside agencies and various team members. Ability to track a budget and process invoices.
