Description

Revolutional delivers advanced technology solutions and mission support to federal agencies across civilian, health, and national security environments. We apply modern capabilities, including AI/ML, cloud, cybersecurity, and IT modernization to solve complex challenges, enable faster and more secure operations, and drive measurable mission outcomes.

We are redefining how federal technology gets built and delivered by operating with a product mindset, prioritizing speed, ownership, and execution over bureaucracy.

Marketing Manager

Location: McLean, VA – Hybrid

Reporting to: Chief of Staff

Terms: Full-time

Salary Range: $130-$160k DOE

The Opportunity

Revolutional is growing, deliberately and ambitiously, and we're looking for a Marketing Manager who will fill a critical role in our growth. This is a role for someone who finds genuine satisfaction in building: shaping a brand, creating programs from scratch, and seeing their work have a direct and visible impact on a company on the move.

We want a Marketing Manager who brings a forward-thinking approach to how they work. That means staying ahead of how marketing is changing, from content creation and campaign optimization to audience insights and performance analytics and putting tools to work in ways that make Revolutional's marketing smarter, faster, and more effective.

You'll have real ownership over Revolutional's marketing strategy and brand identity, direct access to leadership, and the opportunity to build something that lasts. You'll also need to be comfortable operating lean, being able to prioritize numerous initiatives, wearing multiple hats, and producing high-quality work without a large support structure behind you, at this phase of our growth strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Revolutional's marketing strategy: set objectives, define brand positioning, and build long-term marketing plans aligned with company growth goals
  • Serve as the keeper of the brand — establish and enforce consistent messaging and tone, across all materials, channels, and public touchpoints
  • Craft compelling, audience-centered stories that clearly communicate the impact of our work and translate complex ideas into meaningful narratives that resonate with customers, partners, and stakeholders
  • Create and produce marketing content across formats and channels: whitepapers, capability statements, case studies, insight posts, presentations, and campaign assets
  • Build and manage the marketing processes and operational infrastructure that enable the function to scale alongside the company
  • Leverage AI-powered tools to improve content production efficiency, campaign performance, audience targeting, and marketing analytics — and stay current as those tools evolve
  • Develop and execute a thought leadership strategy that positions Revolutional's leaders and subject matter experts as credible voices in the federal technology market
  • Design, launch, and optimize marketing campaigns across digital, social, conference, and industry channels; track performance and report on results
  • Drive digital strategy including website management, content marketing, and social media engagement and growth
  • Coordinate content calendar and manage content production workflows to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across all channels
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret market and performance data — including AI-driven insights — to inform decisions and improve marketing effectiveness over time
  • Collaborate with business development, delivery, and executive leadership to ensure marketing supports and amplifies broader company goals
  • Research, engage, and manage third-party vendors and creative partners as needed
  • Support internal culture-building and employee communications in partnership with the Chief of Staff and Chief Human Resources Officer

What You Bring (Requirements)

Baseline Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master's degree may be considered in lieu of experience)
  • 6 to 8 years of marketing experience including writing, content creation, and brand strategy
  • GovCon marketing experience required.  You understand the federal market, how buyers think, and how to position a technology company credibly in that space
  • Demonstrated experience building marketing materials, processes, or programs with a high degree of ownership

Technical & Domain Capabilities

  • Deep understanding of the government contracting market: federal buyer behavior, BD cycle alignment, and how marketing supports pipeline and capture
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a portfolio that demonstrates range across formats, topics, and tones
  • Experience developing thought leadership content frameworks and producing executive-level content in partnership with subject matter experts
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms: social media management, analytics, and content management systems
  • Experience managing and growing owned social channels and content platforms with measurable results
  • Curiosity and fluency around how AI are reshaping the marketing discipline — you follow the space, experiment with new tools, and apply what works
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to collect, interpret, and act on marketing performance data
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and workstreams independently

Core Strengths

  • Builder mentality: you take ownership of the full marketing function and are energized by the opportunity to shape it
  • Self-directed and resourceful
  • Forward-thinking practitioner who applies emerging tools and techniques to produce better marketing outcomes, not just more efficient ones
  • Strong editorial judgment: you translate complex technical concepts, emerging capabilities, and company news into content that resonates with federal market audiences
  • Trusted partner to leadership: you earn credibility through follow-through, quality work, and a genuine understanding of business goals
  • Effective collaborator: you actively listen to diverse ideas, perspectives, and feedback to develop thoughtful marketing strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes

Nice to Have (Differentiators)

  • Experience building or optimizing AI-assisted content workflows, campaign automation, or marketing analytics pipelines
  • Familiarity with federal technology domains: cybersecurity, AI and data science, cloud, and modernization
  • Experience in a growing GovCon environment where you helped build marketing capability alongside company growth
  • Experience supporting BD or capture efforts with marketing collateral, capability presentations, or competitive positioning materials
  • Hands-on experience with change management communications or organizational narrative development
  • Existing relationships or familiarity with federal technology media, events, and industry organizations
