Job Title: Marketing Manager Department: Sales & Marketing Department - Corporate Level Reports to: Vice President, Sales & Marketing SUMMARY: This position is responsible for building brand awareness and creating marketing campaigns that generate revenue for the portfolio of Yedla managed hotels. It also supports the overall growth of the management company by increasing the value of the Yedla brand itself for owners and investors. This key position is essential for the continued growth of our management company. Position works directly with Executive Director of Sales and Executive Director of Operations on projects and initiatives that improve our recruiting process, support brand awareness, and increase overall revenues. Ability to have vision to evolve this position into a marketing department over the next few years as company continues its current growth pattern. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and maintain flexibility for changes. Work week consistently 40 + hours per week and position requires flexibility for some evening or weekends in case of promotions or events requiring marketing support Ability to travel throughout North Alabama on regular basis and occasionally overnight travel. Overnight travel less than 20% Position will office out of the Huntsville Corporate office MARKETING MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage social media content for YMC (currently includes Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and twitter accounts)
- Make recommendations for content calendar and solicit content from YMC hotel portfolio
- Current awareness of all social media platforms to make recommendations for future platforms
- Create & maintain social media policies and guidelines for hotels (example AC Hotel require hotel Instagram accounts)
- Responsible for graphic design for corporate and for property level collateral
- Responsible for coordinating with Corporate Sales and Property sales to create and execute digital campaigns (such as facebook ads)
- Analyze market place data to identify feeder markets (example: Placer inc subscription)
- Networking with PR organizations / tourism organizations to advance Yedla brand awareness
- Assist with marketing and public relations activities affiliated with opening process for hotels
- Manage influencer requests for hotel stays
- Provide monthly analytics on social media, marketing, and advertising results
- Assist corporate departments with creation of new forms, documents, and handbooks
- Create / update Media Relations best practices for hotels
- Manage media communications for corporate office as well as media policies for hotels
- Increase YMC profile by pitching stories ideas to local media as well as hotel related media
- Coordinate any brand / external PR marketing initiatives (example Hilton social media standards)
- Innovative ideas for video / collateral support for HR department for recruiting as well as marketing/promotions
- Assist corporate sales with Community Events and Yedla Cares volunteer programs or initiatives
- Maintain and promote a teamwork environment with effective and clear communication throughout the hotel. Set example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and co-workers, timely response to clients and co-workers needs and observance of all Yedla sales office standards
- Support the annual sales plan for the hotels by assisting hotel team to execute social media/ digital marketing initiatives.
