Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Marketing Operations Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives and programs. This role requires strategic ownership of campaign execution, process optimization, and stakeholder alignment to drive measurable business outcomes. The ideal candidate will excel in managing priorities, resources, and communication across diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly strategic role for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving operational efficiency, and leading complex initiatives. There is no creative production work involved.
Responsibilities of the Marketing Operations Project Manager:- Own campaign and program strategy and execution across complex, cross-functional marketing initiatives, including new product go-to-market campaigns; ensure alignment to business priorities and measurable outcomes.
- Own and optimize end-to-end strategic projects, contributing to the design and optimization of workflows and intake processes to improve prioritization, visibility, and execution efficiency.
- Lead cross-functional planning and intake forums. Align on priorities, sequencing, and partner with stakeholders and cross-functional leads in and outside marketing to ensure project timelines.
- Establish and manage integrated program plans, including timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics.
- Allocate and manage resources across competing priorities to balance capacity, speed, and quality.
- Serve as the central point of accountability across stakeholders, including marketing, product, operations, and external partners.
- Build and maintain program governance, reporting frameworks, and dashboards to provide visibility into progress, performance, and risks.
- Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and operational challenges, and drive resolution and continuous improvement.
- Lead planning for new product go-to-market campaigns and multi-campaign programs, coordinating messaging, channels, timelines, and deliverables across teams.
- Oversee weekly intake forums and support prioritization of incoming campaign and program requests against capacity and business priorities.
- Create and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures to support consistent campaign intake, prioritization, and execution.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment, accountability, and adoption of standardized processes.
- Analyze program performance and operational trends. Translate insights into actionable improvements that enhance efficiency and business impact.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and implement scalable solutions.
- Exercise a high level of independent judgment and decision-making authority within broadly defined objectives.
- Make strategic trade-offs related to scope, prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery approaches.
- Influence senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders across marketing, product, and operations.
- Drive alignment, adoption of standardized processes, and program prioritization through strong communication, data-driven insights, and organizational credibility.
- Impact enterprise or multi-functional areas, including Marketing, IT, and Business Operations, influencing program outcomes, operational efficiency, and delivery of strategic business initiatives.
Required Experience/Skills for the Marketing Operations Project Manager:- 5+ years leading complex, cross-functional programs or portfolios.
- 8+ years in program management, marketing operations, or campaign management in an agency or in-house environment.
- PMP, Agile, or equivalent certification.
- Proven ability to own program strategy and execution while operating at both strategic and tactical levels.
- Expertise in workflow design, process optimization, and scalable program delivery.
- Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaign planning and marketing operations.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate insights into action.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills across executive and operational audiences.
- Highly self-directed, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Marketing Operations Project Manager:- Experience with advanced marketing technology platforms and tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting software to enhance program governance.
- Background in change management and organizational adoption strategies.
- Knowledge of digital marketing trends and multi-channel campaign execution.
- Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is required.
