IDR is seeking a Marketing Research & Insights Lead to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Memphis, TN. This role sits within a Marketing Insights Center of Excellence, partnering with enterprise stakeholders to strengthen brand affinity and drive growth through donor-centric insights. You will lead high-visibility primary research initiatives from design through storytelling, informing brand, marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies.
Position Overview for the Marketing Research & Insights Lead:
- Lead end-to-end primary research projects, including research design, fielding, analysis, reporting, and post-study socialization across a portfolio of strategic initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with senior leaders and stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations that shape brand, marketing, communications, and fundraising decisions.
- Build and manage brand health, segmentation, and testing programs (e.g., creative, message, and concept testing) to support enterprise priorities.
- Apply advanced methodology and analytical rigor across qualitative and quantitative approaches, ensuring best practices in sampling, weighting, and research execution.
- Develop compelling narratives and executive-ready presentations, leveraging data visualization and storytelling to drive clarity and decision-making.
Requirements for the Marketing Research & Insights Lead:
- Masters degree in Business Administration, Market Research, Statistics, Marketing, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 12+ years in an insights function
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced, customized research methodologies (e.g., segmentation, tracking, discrete choice/conjoint, max diff, ethnography, web usability)
- Strong applied research project management skills across qualitative and quantitative study design, instrument development, and stakeholder/vendor management
- Mandatory hands-on experience with SPSS (or comparable statistical software) and advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint-based reporting
- Proven ability to communicate insights to Executive and Senior Leadership through clear storytelling, persuasive recommendations, and high-quality presentations
