If you thrive in a fast‑paced, design‑driven environment and love bringing order to creative chaos, we'd love to meet you.Key ResponsibilitiesTraffic, Intake & Resource AllocationOwn the intake, prioritization, and tracking of marketing and creative requestsOversee resource allocation across the Brand Marketing department, including designers and project coordinators and internsMaintain and update team availability, capacity, and assignments in collaboration with Program Managers and Senior ManagersTranslate creative briefs into clear timelines, scope, and resource plansBalance workloads across internal creative teams and project coordinatorsForecast resource needs based on campaign calendars, seasonal priorities, and team bandwidthEnsure project coordinators are effectively assigned to support initiatives based on scope, complexity, and timelinesCoordinate freelance and vendor scheduling as needed to support project demandsManage equipment inventory and allocationArt Traffic & Workflow CoordinationPartner with the Art Director to route projects based on skill set, availability, and priorityMonitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure deadlines are metFacilitate regular status meetings to track progress and resolve bottlenecksCollaborate with project/program managers, and marketing leads to align priorities and timelinesCross Functional CollaborationAct as the central connection point between Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, other internal teams as needed, and external vendor partnersFacilitate prioritization conversations when demand exceeds capacityProactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and capacity gaps and recommend solutionsCommunicate status, changes, dependencies, and campaign launch readiness clearly across stakeholdersProcess, Tools & OptimizationMaintain and improve workflow systems and tools (Teams, Airtable, Basecamp, Excel, etc.)Ensure documentation, processes, and templates are clear, consistent, and communicated across teamsIdentify opportunities to streamline operations and improve efficiency, partnering with stakeholders to drive actionSupport additional initiatives and projects as needed across the Brand Marketing portfolioReporting & InsightsTrack throughput, turnaround times, capacity utilization, and on‑time deliveryProvide insights to marketing leadership to support planning and resourcingSupport seasonal and annual marketing planning with data‑driven forecastsQualifications3-5 years of experience in marketing operations, traffic management, or creative project managementMeticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and follow‑throughStrong understanding of creative production and retail/brand marketing workflowsProven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and shifting timelinesClear, confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skillsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilitiesAbility to remain calm, diplomatic, and solution oriented under pressureProficient in MS Office, Google Suite, Airtable, Basecamp, and Adobe Creative SuiteSelf‑motivated, collaborative, flexible, and highly organized with a positive, can‑do attitudePreferred SkillsZumiez and/or retail industry experience preferredExperience working with in‑house brand marketing teams and/or creative agenciesFamiliarity with campaign planning and cross‑functional collaborationUnderstanding of action sports, streetwear, or youth cultureA collaborative mindset with a passion for supporting creative and executional excellenceThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
